Elton on the way to another fortune!
Elon Musk has an idea of how one might transform the sharp-angled Tesla Cybertruck into an overland camper, but the breezy walls and compact interior of a small pop-up aren’t for every adventurer. Las Vegas-based startup CyberLandr has stepped in to show an alternative: a telescoping camper that fits neatly in the Cybertruck’s bed and grows into a little pickup-back tiny home complete with bed, bathroom and kitchen. It’s a pickup camper wild and weird enough for the Cybertruck itself.
The Cybertruck presents an interesting challenge for camper makers. On one hand, developing a Cybertruck camper is marketing gold and instant fame. On the other, the truck’s irregular shape trades the simple, design-friendly starting point of low, level sidewalls for a much less intuitive foundation. The typical pickup camper or bed rack-mounted roof-top tent simply won’t work naturally with the Cybertruck’s off-the-wall geometry, at least not without some serious reengineering.

The ‘Cybertruck’.
There was no possible way that they could have made it look more ugly, or more ridiculous.
Or so we thought…

You don’t drive around town with it up, only when you go bush, where who cares as long as it protects you from the elements. Just think, no need for a tent and no need for a trailer, meaning you can go anywhere without much effort or concern.

I’d sort of guessed that driving around with it raised up would come under ‘not recommended’.
As for its role as shelter – i suppose that if you’re the kind of person who wouldn’t mind being seen in a ‘Cybertruck’, then you may well be the kind of person who puts yourself in situations where you have to depend on a set of collapsible boxes for shelter. And the best of luck to you.

Adequate for your purposes? Wonders why then that you get into such a panic when the house lease comes under review. Elton and Elon have options, they can do what they like and not rely on others for their quality of life. I too live very frugally, but can appreciate the advantages they have and the opportunities available to them.
Elon and Elton did not inherit their money, they made it because they were smart and had a good idea that became popular with many, even making Elon’s success beyond his imagination, but what does that matter when they could have had your lifestyle and so much cheaper too. Still as long as you are happy and content.

Bitcoin tops $60,000 and sets new high over the weekend as Elon Musk aims towards the “moon”

Bitcoin surged above $60,000 for the first time since March, approaching record highs on Saturday. As of 9:00am eastern time on Sunday, the currency was at $59.604.06 on the Bitstamp exchange.
The cryptocurrency is up over 700% from a year ago when a single bitcoin was below $7000. This year, bitcoin is up over 100% after a February rally brought the cryptocurrency over $50,000 for the first time.
Early Saturday morning, as the cryptocurrency was floating around its weekend high, Tesla and SpaceX CEO (and Technoking) Elon Musk tweeted “…going to moon very soon,” in an apparent reference to popular Bitcoin slang “to the moon.”
Musk, a bitcoin booster whose company Tesla purchased $1.5 billion of bitcoin, netting the company more profit than its electric car business, also helms up SpaceX. The company is planning the first civilian space flight to the moon in 2023.

Something else that is being engineered by Elon.
Elon Musk’s Neuralink has a monkey play Pong with its mind
Elon Musk’s startup Neuralink has shown off the latest version of its brain-machine interface, which a monkey uses to wirelessly play Pong with its mind. The demonstration is both another step forward for the ambitious company and a fascinating look at the current state of the technology, which, amongst other things, could offer sufferers of paralysis a way to regain control of their limbs.
Previous research in this field has shown how these brain-machine interfaces can be used to control drones, prosthetic limbs and computer tablets, just by recording and relaying the user’s brain activity that signals their intentions. The most impressive feats, however, have required that these brain implants be tethered to computer systems to provide the necessary bandwidth for the signals to be transmitted.
The goal for Neuralink, and many researchers in the field, is to develop a completely wireless version, which would allow sufferers of paralysis far greater freedom and quality of life. A consortium of scientists working on this problem, known as BrainGate, earlier this week revealed it had developed the first wireless system to transmit neural signals at a similar bandwidth to wired systems. It uses arrays of 200 electrodes to gather the full spectrum of signals from the brain’s motor cortex and pass them along to a connected wireless transmitter on the user’s head.

Something else that is being engineered by Elon.

Personally I think people should read both to gain a more realistic view of the subject. The author of the criticism gave the impression of being very biased and intent on belittling Elon and his ideas at every opportunity, in particular expecting ground breaking results from preliminary investigations, not appreciating everything starts somewhere and progress can be laborious and slow. He makes no mention of the chimp playing on the computer using nothing but its thoughts to control the action and of which makes up the vast majority of the article and the short video.
As for a fair and honest critique, it suffers from the same type of criticism that cherry picks points to support their case and unjustly ignores the main thrust of Elon’s work. Nobody is claiming Elon is brain scientist, only that he and his company has shown instances where the power of thought works and you would be stupid to deny the considerable merit and protentional for use by paralysed people. Instead you get petty, spoiling negativity from someone who should know better and if he was less biased would admit he is being totally unreasonable.
