Reverse it. How could ceramics be recycled?

Answer. Air jet.

Crush ceramics up into coarse powder grains and use an air jet to sort the powder by colour. The result would be an ore concentrated in rare metals. Very valuable for recycling.

The uncoloured remainder would be suitable for making mineral wool and similar products.
(As concrete aggregate?)
