Still gardening, in raised bed now.

Haven’t been here for ages, a lot going on in my life, growing older is uncharted territory. You know, no Cosmopolitan for the Young 70 year olds magazines, etc…

The Garden is almost just one rose bush now, the rats have eaten most of my pot plants and the termites: the second last rose bush…

Help has been offered in the form of eldest daughter’s husband, they both have green fingers, but they are 12 hours drive away. Youngest son also has green fingers and a horticultural certificate and he works with revegetation (natives). So it’s me and my brown-fingered daughter, who doesn’t understand why plants need to be watered more often than she remembers to do it.

We are considering a vegetable patch made of 12” x 1 metre cgi raised beds, surrounded by a chook-proof fence and covered with black shade cloth. Stay tooned…
