what if humans unknowingly started to emulate the machine world they inhabit, the ways of the machine world, and further what if it were already substantially the situation, normal, and trending more of the same

it’s easy to think humans build the machine world and use technology for their purposes, which perhaps doesn’t make the thought of the possibility humans emulate it necessarily more likely, perhaps it makes the thought less likely

my view is humans are already emulating the ways and characteristics of the machine world

In what ways are humans already emulating the ways and characteristics of the machine world?

Ya. I don’t see it. We don’t have anything like a machine world. Batteries on phones go flat after two days. Cars die after 12 months without maintenance. So does a lot of industrial equipment without human input.

So does “emulating the machine world” mean dying after some time between 2 days and 12 months?

Or perhaps you mean humans should emulate the “garbage in garbage out” world of computer software? Which we are approaching.

latter will do, for a starter, not so much the garbage though perhaps, the packages of devices and software and platforms that influence how people interact with the world, including the system algorithms people call them

but I would add a simplified example of what i’m talking about, which probably doesn’t qualify properly, but as a starting point for thinking about it may be useful

consider simple tools out ancestors made, way way back

take a spear for hunting

in the process of internalizing the idea of what a spear is used for, how it is used, does the concept or notions of a spear remain limited to its preferred and accepted application

consider what a spear makes possible, the injuring of an animal at a distance, before it’s had time to sense an approaching danger

had time to might be better writ had opportunity, of that last sentence
