Subject: Bathroom Covid Areosols

I’ve been looking around for some information on traps in bathrooms.

For bathroom drains that smell the solution is to flush and refill the p trap or u trap.

Water levels can get low in some p traps u traps etc which can evaporate with low use, and require a refill to bring the water level up in the p trap to work properly again preventing sewer gas from leaking back.

When P trap or U traps get low water levels they start to let in aerosols (bad air smell) from sewage pipes

Are they any auto water refill P trap systems around ?, Yes they called trap primers.

Some bathrooms or laundries might have a drain located on the floor.

Some wash basins may have a water overflow drain in the wash basin or bath.

Remebers article about one person having COVID with diarrhoea in apartment building.

P traps in each bathroom would all have different levels of evaporation.

One way to reduce Covid transmission threat in apartment buildings, hotels, motels, homes, other buildings and cruise ships would be to add a trap primer to each trap in each room.

Adding more primers to traps will be a drain on our water supply.

Covid sensors could be installed at triage in all hospitals.

COVID sensors could be installed at all doctors clinics, banks, supermarkets and other high volume areas etc

And added to drones. Scan whole populations, and all surfaces – inside and out – with lots of sensors onto drones.

It could fly above a crowd with a sensor and detect the presence of COVID in the air but not any personal details

The sensor only detects covid, not a persons dna, photo, name address or phone number .

nasal implant covid detectors, and capsules you swallow with breakfast, all with mobile service and wifi connectivity and hopping capabilities

slimline covid detectors embedded in toilet paper, and tissue paper

the possibilities are endless

No.

Not with me anyway.

But Ive checked my bathroom for a primer on the trap and it doesn’t have one.

I would like to get one.

Soon.

Covid transmission is a threat in tall buildings, hotels, cruise ships and apartment buildings, where its being seen that COVID will spread depending on 3 conditions.

1 A person with COVID.
2 A building with transmissible airborne routes, corridors, door to corridor drafts, rooms, lifts, wash basins, pipes, and drains.
3 A person who breaths in contaminated air in a tall building, apartment building, cruise ship etc from that person in condition 1 and from contaminated air in condition 2.

A COVID detector would check its presence.

I suggest hotels, motels, cruise ships, quarantine centers to install primers on traps and flush them after someone leaves, especially if someone is covid positive.

A quarantine centre would benefit from primers on each adjoining room.

Someone could measure the evaporate level in a p or u trap.

I might buy one and do the experiment and see for myself.

Do primers have timers or are they automated another way?
