I’m after a motor suitable for cleaning records on a wooden disc with a rubber platter top.
The motor will have to cope with some downward pressure, not much, just using a felt pad for cleaning.

As seen on TV shopping?
You made me curious. I guess these people should know what they are talking about:
https://victrola.com/blogs/articles/how-to-clean-vinyl-records
We still have some vinyl, and I think there is a small turntable somewhere. I suppose one day we might get around to bothering to see if the records are OK.
I read this as Record for Motor Cleaning
My (very expensive in 1982) tonearm cartridge has a tiny brush on it that removes dust from the groove ahead of the stylus. I have not had to clean records since. Nor have I had to replace the stylus (which shown no wear yet – checked by microscope every mow and again). I clean the brush often, though.
This article is worth reading, I think. Especially for the record cleaning ideas.

Op shops here will not stock any electrical goods. Try elsewhere.
