Speedy Jnr has been working on his HSC project using the welder, milling machine and metal lathe in the garage/workshop. This is away from the house (across a garden and downstairs), and it is getting tedious having to check so often that he is still safe.
I would like to set up a camera in the workshop so that I can see on my computer what he is doing. Can this be done easily?
Never allow young people work alone with this kind of machinery – they get killed
Would you set up a camera to supervise young children in a pool ?
This is warning – heed it

I think we can assume that Speedy’s child is old enough to swim in a pool unsupervised.
I’ve been wondering lately if the reason young children need parental supervision in a swimming pool is to stop their siblings from killing them.
Sorry I missed this earlier. Anyhow, I trust Mr Speedy’s call on this one, as he is a qualified Fitter Machinist who worked daily on large mining equipment during his apprenticeship, when he was 2 years younger than Speedy Jnr is now. Speedy Jnr is allowed to work unsupervised on a limited selection of tasks for his project, for short periods. More complex tasks are completed with full supervision.
FWIW, I did get the camera to work, but its resolution was very poor and quite delayed. I think I will revisit this soon and try a better set-up.
