I’m peeved because Mr Speedy is still going up to Gosford once a week for work. His customer expects him to be there, because he knows he is allowed to be there. When we run our own business, it would be much easier to tell one of our best customers that we are legally not allowed to be there.

The problem with that, of course, is that at the beginning this virus was an unknown quantity, so no-one knew what they were doing. They were trying to work with information about SARS and MERS and it’s a different beast. Hindsight is a a wonderful thing, but it took a while to get data.

Not to diss your friend, Ms Speedy, but I find that one a little incredulous. Is that at her Bunnings in particular? Firstly, how does she know who contact tracers do, or do not contact?. Secondly, so lots of people are conspiring to go get a coffee, than drive all the way to Bunnings, get out of the car, go INSIDE with their coffee, and all find a spot together to stand and chat while sipping what would be cold coffee by then? With this conspiritory behaviour done often and repeatedly by different groups of people?

Oh I don’t know, maybe those ones that actually drink the coffee are buying them at the Bunnings cafe?

Admittedly, Bunnings cafes in NSW are open for takeaway only here so maybe the odd person or two gets a coffee and shops with coffee on had. But your friend said “arrive with their coffee”.

No, there have been no cases in her store, as far as she is aware.

The thing about Bunninigs is that you can’t get down any aisle without having to pass within the required distancing.

When i was learning to drive, i asked about how i should know when to use indicators and when not to.

The instructor (a good one) said ‘when in doubt, indicate. No-one ever got booked for using indicators when they didn’t have to, but you’ll cop it if you don’t use them when you should have’.
