I did reply to this, looks like my reply got lost.

Anyway, over-brief summary, the presence of helium due to the alpha decay of U and Th in diamonds is used to determine the ages of those diamonds. Looks good to me.

I told my family that when I die, cremate me and send me to one of those places that turn ashes into gems. I’d like to be a ruby. Mini Me can wear me as jewellery. Mr Mutant can use me in an engagement ring for his next missus heehee
