My doctor gave me Buprenoprhine patches.
How is a doctor allowed to hand out a dangerously addictive drug when I didn’t ask for it but yet unable to give me something less dangerous to my health and wellbeing?

It’s the law, roughie. ‘Making sense’ is not at the top of the priorities list.

I hate to say it, but I completely agree. It made sense before the advent of the internet. But now most people know a lot more about their own health from decades of study than a doctor does from a cursory 5 minute examination.

DOPESICK

Purdue launched OxyContin in 1996, suggesting to doctors that it could be used
to treat back aches, knee pain and other common conditions. Richard Sackler,
who has served as president and chairman of the company, helped persuade
the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to approve it on the false premise
that it was less addictive than other prescription opioids.

He continues:
“Now, what’s the medical reason behind this happening? The drug is so potent,
it’s pure oxycodone, essentially heroin in a pill. It literally damages your frontal lobe,
changes your brain chemistry, and you feel like you are going to die if you don’t have it.

“That’s what being called dopesick is, that feeling that you’re going to die if you don’t get
your next fix and you can’t recover because your brain chemistry is going to change.
It’s a uniquely diabolical drug. And when I say that, I’m not referring just to
OxyContin, I’m referring to opium in general.”

But Purdue and the Sacklers had an addiction of their own …making Profits…
…and were quick to deny responsibility by trying to shift blame to “criminal addicts”.

My 2 cents:
Everybody’s Guilty, Big Pharma, Doctors, Pharmacy Chains & the Government from the
TOP Down for allowing Big Pharma’s LOBBYISTS to Bribe Senators with OBSCENE
Campaign Contributions to Look the Other Way …yet nobody’s taking the blame!

Even MORE Egregious :
MANY Doctors who’re so Willing to Prescribe Opioids (WITHOUT DUE WARNINGS)
are Also Willing to TREAT The People for the Very DRUG ADDICTION They’d Caused
…talk about ‘Getting You Coming & Going!’ WTF! /-8<

My doctor refuses to give me a packet of panadeine when I ask. Like I only need one when the pain is severe.
Then on Tuesday she asked me how the pain management was going. I said that I could do with some because the supply of other things she had prescribed for me hadn’t been available for much of the past two years. So she gives me these patches.
Seriously, either she was trying to scare me or she’d lost the plot. Because everyone knows why drugs with codeine in them have been basically been withdrawn due to the greater problem of people becoming addicted.

Anyway, I won’t be patching myself into morphine city.

Ive noticed a few dichotomies with cannabis

With myself I have observed suppressed dream recall with long term use, while occasional use can lead to having profound dreams. There seems to be this spectrum between not dreaming and having mind blowing dreams, depending on frequency of use.

Dichotomy across different dosages of cannabis.

Cannabis has this dichotomy between low and high dosages, mids can be any combination creating a wider scope.

Low dosage will not effect movement.
High dosages will impair movement.

Low dosage will offer a pleasant mind
High dosages can lead to hallucinations or sleep/ sleepiness

Dichotomy across cannabis strains

There is also a dichotomy across cannabis strains, for example anxiety can treated with a small amount of cannabis indica,
while a different strain and a mid to high dosage of cannabis sativa can cause anxiety.

A small dosage of cannabis indica will induce sleep while a high dose of cannabis sativa can keep you up all night doing housework.

Im sure there are other examples.
