I’ve only got as far as cleaning the French doors and putting up some star decals. I’ve been spending my time outside instead of doing Christmas decorations. But I did post my cards yesterday.

I still haven’t done my decorations. I need to clean the window first. But as there will be a couple of hot days Sunday and Monday when I won’t be able to be outside in the garden, I’ll get onto it then. It will probably be the latest I’ve ever been.

The baby apple tree has some tinsel on it’s wire guard. But I put that up a couple of months ago to dissuade possums and ravens from picking off the leaves. The poor thing is only about 30cm high and last year got greatly etten. I would like it to survive as it’s a cutting from the super excellent cooking apple tree at Casterton.

Multitudinous felicitations for buffy. I love the card.

Phew, got Xmas presents for rellies. I wanted to send copies of this book I like. Not a single bgookshop in the whole world seemed to stock it. OK, so I only tried ten bookshops including Amazon, Amazon.au, Abebooks, etc.

Then had a brainwave. Found it on ebay, 3 copies and bought the lot. Plus two other similar books to round out the presents for my closest rellies.

Best collection of vintage humour in existence. You name it, it’s got it. Sketches from Blackadder, Steptoe and son, Dad’s army, The Goons Napoleon’s piano, Monty Python’s dead parrot, Two Ronnies, etc. and cartoons Dilbert, Andy Capp, Steve Best and many other cartoonists. One liners from Steve Wright, Bob Hope, Robin Williams, etc. A song by Flanders and Swan. Poems. Essentially, if it’s funny, then it’s in the book.

It has; I think it was first used in about 2002; she ran a wildlife shelter until she went blind, so that particular display is sentimental.

Here is our tree this year. Not much changes from year to year, including the “Annual LED Lights Row” between Mr Speedy and me. There are no other decorations in or around the house.

Actually, there is one small change this year, being that two additional, small, beautifully wrapped gifts have been added overnight by Little Speedy, labelled “Mum” and “Dad”, following a meet-up with his friends at the shops yesterday.
