Worthy or not, I suspect that his skills at batting far exceed his skills at captaining. I don’t know why they don’t let him focus on what he does best.

Not that I know anything much about cricket.

in conclusion we too agree that there can be circumstances in which the marginal utility of focusing on skills that are not one’s best exceed the marginal utility of focusing on skills that are what one does best

That certainly can be true in some circumstances, but when we are talking about contribution to a team game, and the ranking in the one skill set is undoubtedly number 1, whilst the ranking in the other skill set is probably somewhere in the millions, I doubt that focussing on the weaker skill set in the context of a top level game is really a good idea.

Low score, but good wicket tally. The last few overs was just about surviving till tomorrow not scoring a hundred, Very mature from the young man.

Poms 1 over short for their quota of the day. Not playing a proper spinner is going to coast them if they have to make up the overs with part-time spin.

15 overs per hour of play.

The Match Referee might consider a review as not playing.

Yesterday, we were one over down. I haven’t read (or heard) of any ruling about that.

The 90 over rule has been around for as long as the six ball over. It just wasn’t enforced much until recently.
