Me too BG. You’re lucky to have your birthday fall on a Saturday. Doesn’t happen very often.
HB BG ;) Hope your Saturday is wunnerful. :)
happy birthday BG.
- be it today or tomorrow
thanks all. It is actually today, but I don’t mind the early good wishes :)
Had dinner with the kids on Thursday night, then at Thee’s last night I got to celebrate again at her Christmas in July. Having a quiet day today as had a big day out yesterday. Drove 2 1/2 hours to Violet Town and spent 5 hours been shown around the place by some locals visiting some sustainable housing projects, local regeneration projects and a permaculture type farm, then 2 1/2 hour drive back to Thee’s for dinner. Made for a long and tiring but great day.

Violet Town eh? I noticed on the Sunday Arts program last week the favourite sister and brother siging duo from the town were on. Look different without their dreads.
got a great present from my son. A couple of lovely books. Making Your Home Sustainable, A Guide to Retrofitting by Derek Wrigley and The Australian Bird-Garden, Creating Havens for Native Birds by Graham Pizzey. I already have the bird book so will exchange that but just goes to show that he is in tune with what I like :)
The first one I am really excited about as it would be something I am interested in doing when I get my own place, and it has a chapter on things to look out for when buying a house with retrofitting in mind. Cool, heh?

Hippy Bathday, BlueGreen…may you have many more…
did I mention that I had special visitors for my birthday at Thee’s last night? Percy, Petunia and Rodney were in attendance :)
Fantastic, I wondered where those pigs were off to. Super!

Holding them back from the cake, were you? Who’s Rodney? What have I missed?

Sounds like a good way to spend a birthday even if it wasn’t quite.

yes, I am very happy I went and the locals were very friendly and made sure I wasn’t standing around on my own at any time :) It gets a tick as a prospective new home if a suitable place becomes available at the right time.

It sounds as though you might have made a decision.

there are other areas I want to check out too, but this is in the running. It will all depend on what is available when I am ready to buy in the end.

Pretty sure I’ve got that somewhere, in the big pile of books I haven’t gotten to yet :(
Happy Birthday BG.
I’m behind in the posts.
Arvo all. A miserable day here today; overcast and dull but no real sign of rain.
Time to start the climb of the LHC I guess. I’ve been around so rarely lately that I’ve got no idea what’s been happening :(
I’ve been do a bit in the garden, on and off, mainly just weeding and thinning out plants. Need to get motivated and get into it in a big way. However I’ll be heading off again on the weekend, back up to Mum’s. Time for her next specialist appt. It’s times like this that I regret moving so far away from her, but I love where I live so I just have to put up with doing all the driving (it’s a 4 hour each way trip to Mum’s plus the trips to Sydney).
Hope everyone is having a good day.
