Subject: Guess what's for dinner.....

Mr V is cooking dinner….

Currently there are a bowls of:

Diced carrots
Sliced mushrooms
uncooked egg noodle
Sliced celery
Velveted finely sliced beef
a bottle of light soy
grated ginger

a preselected range of home grown chillies (lemon drop, Chris’s dad’s, baralaba, malawetina and red ones)

And, an as yet assortment of unprepared, predilectedable constituental and fundamental innards.

And a bottle of opened red. (Twin Cellars Malbec 2018)… which is now close to empty.

an empty bottle of bubbles (not car) and and a empty of Tahbilk 2018 Verdelho.

however……. its is now ciggie time. make drinky drinky motions as well

wok is on the wok burner…………….

I made it up as I went along. It ended up being a spicy chilli-ginger beef with veges and noodles. We ate the lot and enjoyed it immensely.

The original plan had been Beef in Black Bean Sauce. I forgot to bring my jar of black beans from home. Woodie said he could get a can of black beans from Woolies. Unfortunately the American Black Beans he got are definitely not a substitute for Chinese fermented black soy beans…

It all worked out quite well, really

I bet it did… :) …stir fry is blessedly forgiving
it naturally allows itself to evolve according to whatever’s at hand
…then adjusted to taste just prior to plating up
