Dose 1: Pfizer
Dose 2: Pfizer
Booster 1: Pfizer
Booster was at 8:30am and I only noticed late that evening that my arm was sore. During the night and for some of the following day I had a fever (no sweating), and fatigue. I didn’t feel that I needed to take anything for the fever.

What?! You got sticky things and cotton? Neither Mr buffy nor I got that. No bandaids for us. Mind you, the practice nurse is very accomplished with vaccinations.
AZ 6 months apart and Pfizer 4 months after that. Not even a sore arm.
AZ twice @ six months.
Pfizer four months after.
The first Az knocked me around a lot. Chilled to the bone. I had the woodfire going for days. An extra blanket. A hot water bottle. Shivered. Bit of a headache. Bit wobbly and nauseous.
NO side effects for the second AZ.
The fellow who gave me the booster was a bit full on. Bleeding from injection site. Huge bruise. No side effects.
Two x AZ, Pfizer 4 months later.
One night & day of flu-like with the first AZ, fine with the second.
Pfizer, second day felt like a mild cold (sniffles, achy, tired) plus a bit of soreness on the injection site.
I have just returned from being thrice-jabbed.
Pfizer for the first two, Pfizer for the booster.
24 Aug 21, 1 Oct 21, 4 Feb 22.
First two I felt a bit tired the next day, but by evening was feeling fine.

Sore arm for a few days
Headache, joint aches for about 18 hrs

AZ six weeks apart
left arm
a slight sensation like water on the ears Not sonsdered an expected reaction from the first AZ. Nothing from the second.
six months later got Moderna in the right arm coz left was in a sling, had a shoulder reconstruction.
Slight dizziness whe I go up to walk away.
No noticeble pains in arms for any of them.
getting a bit of a sore arm now, just on the needle entry site.

1 Moderna

For those following my diary from yesterday:
Moderna booster day before yesterday, fever peaking at 38.05 degrees.
But I don’t blame the booster, I think I caught a flu.

There are two lines on the test. If is is positive, both the Covid line and a control line will appear. If it is negative, only the control line will appear, which is what we can see here.

all 3 pfizer
1st mid Jan
2nd beginning of Feb
Boosted 8 months later
after #1 I got itchy for a day due to my hyper sensitive skin
took an antihistamine prior to the 2nd.. no effect whatsoever
boosted as soon as it became available …not even a sore arm
I caught the trots and the neigh, I thought both were pretty clever
All Pfizer.
Number 1: No symptoms
23 Days
Number 2: Felt like a hangover the next day ( no, it wasn’t an actual hangover)

Number 3: Extremely sore injection site. Slightest touch caused great discomfort…

since human memory changes over time the self report style weeks later is flawed, but it’s the best we can do in the circumstances.. early analysis shows that Moderna booster displays more symptoms than the others..Bubblecar said:

Ian – no timing from second to booster
—
4 months if you really must know.
I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition!
I can give you my first two, but you will have to wait for my booster. I’m going the full 6 months from second dose. I will probably go for AZ again. I’d consider Novavax, but it doesn’t appear to be approved for boosters.
AZ dose 1: 9/6/21 at noon: By bedtime my feet were colder than they have ever been before (that I can remember). Only my feet. Not other parts of my body. Around midnight (12 hours from vax) I was woken with a mild headache which I did not take anything for. In general I don’t have headaches unless I am dehydrated. When I woke next morning the headache was still present so I took a Panadol, which fixed it in half an hour. I was very lacking in energy and because it was a wet day I indulged in a day of reading in bed. With some napping. No longer fatigued on 11/6/21. By then there was a lump at the injection site with surrounding hyperaemia which was tender but not sore and less than I had with the ‘flu vaccination a couple of weeks prior.
The lump on the arm and hyperaemia were still evident on 12/6/21. I was very flat, but I was in mourning for my receptionist who died on 11/6/21 and it hit me very hard. I am unable to tell but I think it was psychological fatigue. I had full normal arm strength for archery on 16/6/21.
(I kept contemporaneous notes when the cold feet thing happened because it wasn’t a side effect I was expecting. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have this level of detail. I sent a report on the cold feet thing – but not the expected headache and tender injection site – to the relevent authority that collects vaccination side effect data)
AZ dose 2: 8/9/21 at 1.45pm: I recall no effects at all. I don’t think I even had a tender arm. Looking at my diary, we went getting firewood the next day, so I guess there was no fatigue either.

ok…for my own curiosity:
has anyone (everyone) else noticed that the shots are painless?
I’m not needle shy but was fully expecting the expected * PINCH *
esp since the needle itself seemed large and long and deeply injected
by tag-teams of person(s) who didn’t seem as trained as most clinical
practitioners…delivered from a running start like a cricket bowler not to
mention being done and dusted on an assembly line basis: “NEXT!” O-x
so I was pleasantly surprised to find the experience was entirely pain free
even when seen on TV children getting jabbed without the usual screaming
…so it came as a bit of a shock when receiving my yearly routine Flu Vaccine
delivered w/the usual short fine needle it came with a now unexpected PINCH
…so before everyone rolls down their sleeve and moves on…
…just out of curiosity: am I alone in having noticed this phenomena?
Yes

practitioners…delivered from a running start like a cricket bowler not to
mention being done and dusted on an assembly line basis: “NEXT!” O-xso I was pleasantly surprised to find the experience was entirely pain free
even when seen on TV children getting jabbed without the usual screaming
…so it came as a bit of a shock when receiving my yearly routine Flu Vaccine
delivered w/the usual short fine needle it came with a now unexpected PINCH…so before everyone rolls down their sleeve and moves on…
…just out of curiosity: am I alone in having noticed this phenomena?
Probably.
I give myself 4 needles a day as a minimum. I rarely notice pain from them, except the very occasional one that hits a nerve or some kind of sore spot or something. I usually feel the needle going in but there is no pain. The flu shots and Covid shots in the arm are no different. Feel it going in but no pain.
I was only pinched for the Pfizer and yes, there was no sensation of being jabbed.
The AZ jabs had a very brief prickle.

ok…for my own curiosity:
has anyone (everyone) else noticed that the shots are painless?
I’m not needle shy but was fully expecting the expected * PINCH *

I only need to check my glucose level every day with a Lancing Device
and it can be a bit painful, and sometimes I hit a vein and SQUIRT…
It just seems odd to get jabbed with a needle that looks like a 10 penny nail
and experience no discomfort whatsoever.

High temperature also yesterday, so it probably was the Moderna booster after all.
It’s not behaving like a normal flu.
To summarise:
Moderna booster 2/2/2022
First high temperature 9:30 pm 3/2/2022
Second high temperature 6 pm 5/2/2022
If it is the booster then that is good. A vaccine is no good if the immune systen doesn’t attack it. And if the immune system does attack it then that gives you a high temperature.

Pfizer
6 months
Mild fever for a couple of days, sore arm for a couple of days, some fatigue/lethargy on the day of.
bump
I took whatever they were giving out on the day.
Was fine first 2 shots. Sore arm small lump for about 5 days.
Booster. 1 day aches and pains. Slight nausia. Stayed in bed for a day.
Oh also day in bed was on New year’s Day. Make of that what you will.

And that day you stayed in bed? Wouldn’t happen to be the day after the booster? Which also happens to be the day after new years eve. Can this lethargy, perhaps, be caused by a big night before?

Goodness, those dates are almost identical to mine…
7th July
30th July
30th December
I got the Moderna booster shot earlier today. My first two shots were also Moderna, the second shot just over three months ago.
My arm is becoming sore, just like the previous two times. I didn’t have any other symptoms the previous two times, and so far no other symptoms this time.

I got a Pfizer today, after two AZ shots.
Effects/soreness/symptoms: zero.
Mr buffy had AZ number three yesterday. He reports no symptoms whatsoever.

AZ for me was like. is that the biggest prick you have got?

give him a knuckle-punch in the arm just so he has something to complain about…
I had AZ for the first two and Pfizer for the third.
However, a perusal of my vaccination history shows me well-vaxxed, as I have apparently received four AZ shots before the Pfizer!
Somebody stuffed up in the medical clinic and I haven’t got around to having the record corrected.

Same thing happened to Mr Arts.. he’s had three shots then the booster.. according to the records..
the reality is that he’s had two shots then the booster..
I’m still waiting for the dreaded after-effects of yesterday’s Pfizer booster to kick off.

No that wont do, that wont do at all, the gap is way too big.
You’ll have to start again and have your first two doses again and then your booster and mind the gap.
