Arts asked:

Just out of curiosity, if anyone on this forum died suddenly, would we even know? I very much doubt that my family would think to come here to let anyone know, they know I post here but it might not cross their minds to make a post.

So who would we lose without realising it?

I’d imagine if I vanished unaccountably for an extended period, sarahs mum would eventually contact one of my sisters, as happened during that emergency operation business.

Probably me. My personal circle who would be aware of the reasons for my disappearance does not intersect with my friends in here.

Although there is facebook, I suppose.

It could happen fairly easy

Slipping over and cracking your skull could cause an brain bleed, they would find your half eaten body gnawed at by your cats for weeks on end. Your dessicated corpse would be found slumped infront of the computer, bony fingers stretched out as if to make one last post.

Morning all.
My brother comes round a couple of times a week so he’d find me.
Maybe I should make a list of things to do if I’m found dead.
My other brother had been dead for a couple of weeks before we found him. Very nasty.

I seem to be the only one who knows that.
He is the only forumite who ever visited me at my home, and the only forumite who I ever visited at their home.

He got dementia with severe memory loss, and about a year and a half after leaving the forum he was spending a lot of his time down at the senior citizens centre in the Black Rock shopping centre enjoying the company there.

He would have to be dead now, but I haven’t knocked on his door to the sure. I have posted Bob from Black Rock’s details on the forum, for anyone who wants to find out – and got told off for doing so.

Just checked Cusp’s blog (http://cosmic-horizons.blogspot.com/), nothing new since 2017!

I suspect the book is more the work of Barnes than Cusp (but could be wrong I suppose).

I sometime wonder about all the persons I’ve interacted with as a part of this boarder group (here and on the original SSSF) .. like BC, the Martins, Magic Chicken, Zarkov, James, Pigman and Meg… etc, etc, etc..

I think BC is working for NASA in their Fiji office.

Didn’t Zarkov return to his home planet?

I reckon Zarkov might have pegged it but he will be remembered for his semenal work that’s available in the Australian National Library.

Say hello from us some time. Please let her know that we’ve moved from Moorooka to Rainbow Beach. Kids in High School, hey? I remember a new-born being fawned over by forum people at a Pudd we held at the old home.

My youngest grandchild started high school this year. The oldest is starting a masters degree.

For that matter, do we have a backup forum? Or would we just congregate at the FB page?

It was more DS attempted separation of ‘you guy(s)’. seemingly excluding himself, yet he posts here too… so…
