To feed broc and Cauils and other veggies from that family , I’m Best to use blood and bone sprinkles around the Plants on top of the Mulch, Or Watered down chook poo (Like seasol)?

I’m no expert veg but they might be too high in nitrogen. You don’t want too much leafy growth.

they like lime so put your wood ash on the bed and dig in.
they like a fertile soil so old pete c. would pour on all the goodness he could get his hands on – both b&b and chook poo – plus some potash and lime would be good.

With broccoli and cauli I feed the soil and pop the seedlings in about a week later, then just worm wee. Then around the base once those cauliflowers have formed their hearts, so I don’t stain the white flower heads.

Cabbages I plant away a tad and feed them lots of worm wee and liquid fert….usually Pepe’s pigeon pooh he mixes for me. As the cabbages are a leaf growing vegie.

I watched an old Chinese guy work his Australian son in law’s garden.. with a piddle in a bucket of water left to stand overnight and sprinkled around each plant the next morning..

I thought you were supposed to use the first urine in the morning, fresh from the piddle tank, suitably diluted of course??? Don’t know about the stuff that’s been standing all night…but the “first thing in the morning” sure got my corn roaring along, last year … the boyz were fascinated…but that’s nitrogen in the form of urea, isn’t it?

It is yep urea that it is.
Urea in the more concentrated forms will burn most plants if applied to the leaves.. My FiL used it to burn off Oxalis.

First urine in the morning will contain all the eliminated toxins from the whole night before. Is likely to be the most acidic..

Oh dear, good think I diluted it a lot…or maybe I just eat healthy? Always reckon what we put in to the pony is what comes out again…

We used urea in crystal / granule form for selective weeding also…
