This was supposed to be last Sunday but I was unwell.

The 2nd annual TDTHD is dedicated to forumers who have relocated to the big forum in the sky.

Geoff D – 2013
Stumpy Seahorse- 2018
Shell aka Artemis – 2020
Richard C – 2020
Curve – 2020

Also commemorates the day the original SSSF was switched off.

Have you achieved much in your exile?

Didn’t know Richard C was dead

Ive got a funny feeling he had the last post on SSSF

of course looking back on it the closing down of the forums was just the beginning of cancel culture. Too much free speech, critical thought and debate.

If you don’t understand it – get rid of it.

Me too. With the help of DVs database of links, I was able to go back to Curves last few days, during which I was absent. I’ve read the vale thread, and now I’m reading the chat thread at the time.

Cheers, Curve. It was nice knowing you.

And Thank You DV.

I didn’t get the chance to reply to Curves last posts, but now after reading the chat thread at the time, I can raise a glass in his honour. It’s way too late, but by now it probably doesn’t matter.

Thank you Curve for all of your input to this forum, you made the world a better place. I am sorry that I wasn’t there to reply to you in your time of need. Dog speed, and party hard mate.

Cheers.

It’s a weird community. I’ve been part of this gang for 23 years, never even met most of you, but I’ve seen you go through generational changes, build families, bounce back from strife, amd in some cases make peace and pass away.

It was a traumatic time on the forum as there was just wasn’t much we could do for him except try to offer words of comfort.

I called the hospital and they assured me they were doing what they could, but he was delirious.
