Any chance of one of these woo-merchants actually producing evidence of these tunnels? I mean, it’d go a fair way to validating their claims, and tunnels are not something that you can hide under the average hat.

idiocy is a time sensitive thing.. we are all idiots at some point, some of us just have a higher occurrence than others.. and levels of idiocy is defined by the recipient, not the user.

Big drains. I believe they are designed to drain Lismore’s city centre below a certain flood height, and can be closed off to prevent river floodwater entering them.
I find it rather odd that if a single child goes missing a ‘yellow alert’ is issued, and the media carry strident announcements requesting the public to be on watch for that child and to notify authorities immediately.
But, according to woo-merchants like Deborah, whole herds of children are being driven like sheep through the secret tunnels with nary a word on their disappearance from parents, relatives, neighbours, or authorities.
Where do they find these all these children? Under cabbage leaves?

So you don’t know about making letters into words?
If you actually watched all of that, you would have observed somebody, not in the factory who rewound it, actually make 8,000 turns of very very fine copper wire, approximately 8 miles of wire rewound to approximate what Bulova originally did.
i doubt there are 8 miles of wire on that coil.
Anyone on the forum who has any shred of interest in musical instruments has got to see this.

Each Accutron coil has 8,100 turns of insulated copper wire of 0.015mm diameter (or about 1/2000th of an inch). That equates to about 80 meters (or nearly 90 yards) per coil. The wire is about one-third the thickness of a human hair. Truly amazing!

The octobass does produce music but honestly once it gets below the extended range of a double bass, it doesn’t sound very musical. It does have a different balance of harmonics to a double bass so it is not completely redundant.

In order to be certain of showing that it was a matter of new elements, the Curies would have to produce them in demonstrable amounts, determine their atomic weight and preferably isolate them. To do so, the Curies would need tons of the costly pitchblende. However, it was known that at the Joachimsthal mine in Bohemia large slag-heaps had been left in the surrounding forests. Marie considered that radium ought to be left in the residue. A sample was sent to them from Bohemia and the slag was found to be even more active than the original mineral. Several tons of pitchblende was later put at their disposal through the good offices of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

on the other hand, those groups tend to attract like minded people, so the standard works because everyone judges the same way… while those who don;‘t agree leave or don’t join in the first place…

I just had a look at the group stats and Facebook tells me that over 20k of the 30k members are “active”. I do not promote the group, and have disabled the ability for members to add friends to it which means that every member has had to actively join the group.
Yeah, there are polarising topics, such as the thoughts on publicising the locations of beautiful natural areas. Some people want to keep them away from tourists, and some people believe they have the right to the location. And don’t get me started on the native sacred areas mob… (“Just assume that every unique area has some native sacredness about it and just not go there in the first place”)
But most of these groups have only one or two noise makers and a firm demonstration early on of what is acceptable and what isn’t tends to keep them behaving unsupervised.

what if you’re a billionaire arsehole that buys Twitter but doesn’t and then manipulates the stock by making social media statements for reactions from all your worshippers
An billionaire arsehole showing the world how to be a billionaire arsehole to impress all his worshippers.
But maybe by manipulating stock in a different way to insider trading is probably still committing a crime against the stock exchange by using social media.
maybe he is poking a stick at law makers?

or poking a stick at twitter?

Something that annoys me about that (and a lot of commentary about flat-earthers idiocy) is the use of “round”. Something can be round and flat at the same time (ag a drinks coaster).
But it can’t be roughly spherical and flat. I would prefer they used “roughly spherical” to “round” in this context.

How about. The Earth is an oblate spheroid.
Spherical is a word most people understand. Oblate and spheroid are not in general, regular English use. They are much more specialist.

They have to radio master control to do it, I assume its a security thing as people can’t be forced to do it by a disgruntled person
You think if you can turn off body cameras yourself what’s the purpose, if you had to get a remote third party to do it harder to get away with illegal action

Yep.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cajuns
Several years back, i heard someone talking on a Canadian radio station with a senior Canadian border officer.
The officer said that it was a constant battle to keep American visitors from bringing guns into Canada. They’re forever explaining to visitors that the laws are different in Canada, their ‘permits’ aren’t valid in Canada, and that their ‘constitutional right’ ceases to be effective at a point just a few metres back behind them.
The officer said that he’s constantly amazed that there hasn’t been serious shootings by irate US citizens at border points, and he attributed that to the training and diplomacy of Canadian border officers.
He had a message for ‘our American friends’: ‘guys, come to Canada, please, we love having you here. But…leave the guns at home, OK?’
