I sent a message early this morning to my mother. I spoke with her the other day and wished her happy birthday and happy Mother’s Day at the same time. My parcel for both occasions had already arrived at her place in time as well.

So, my daughters (also mums) and got together Saturday afternoon and did a get together then. We did a dinner and there was cheesecake and chocolate involved.

In fact … since I have just finished dinner , warmed up ravioli and grated cheese. I might make a cup of twinings tea “earl grey” and slice some cheesecake for sweets.

I was extra lucky, I got covid for Mother’s Day! I suspect I got it from one (or more) of the 800 kids who breathed on me while I was manning the Mother’s Day stall at school last week.

I’ve had worse regular colds. I’m very lucky. The other two are negative so far; I suspect my recent bout of gastro screwed with my immunity.

yeah, but it was super mild.. just like a head cold he said and over the symptoms in a few days.. so I’m going to put that down to vaccination.
