Or younger, even
Oh my goodness, I have the password saved on this computer. Need to make a note for the other computer.
We have had an unusually wet winter, cold nights too. The mangoes burst into flower about a fortnight ago. Hoping that my rule of thumb of “lots of flowers, lots of fruit, big October winds” doesn’t prove true this time around. It’s very annoying that this tree, self-sown, doesn’t produce lots of mangoes. It’s the “traditional” tree, that has stringy but you-beaut flavoured fruit.
Bought a throw-out rose, $5, Baroque ground cover. Had only two buds but has since put forth lots of leaves and I really need to plant it as it’s bare-rooted. They say to fuss over it but hardies, it’s going in a pre-dug hole with all the goodies and then it’s six inches of mulch and you’re on your own, buddy.
I did read where the General Lamarque rose will sulk if pruned, especially whilst establishing itself. Is this true? I’m pretty sure that pruning my fathers IceBerg caused it’s demise. It was well over 30 years old at the time.
Not planting anything else at the moment as the rats are too numerous to mention.
My new pup has MOSTLY stopped following the hens around, so I am getting 2 – 4 eggs per day from 5 hens, which are at least 6 years old. The hens, that is…
The Happy Campers are finally moving on. Got to the stage, about 2 months ago, they called on the local copper at his home and said all the caravan parks were full, both in town and at the dam. The copper told them to camp down at the local billabong and if anybody said anything, send them to the copper. Against council rules, mostly because people leave a mess, I think. They were even camping up at the showgrounds / saleyards, which has been verboten for the past 5 years. The copper said better to camp somewhere safe than become a RTA late at night by travelling on.
