Looks much like an otherwise conventional electric motor but with better (more comprehensive& heavy) cooling.

Seems to be a solution without a problem. Now, if they’d invented a battery capable of delivering 90% peak power without overheating, that would be a different story.

OK, Oil cooled. That makes sense.

Reminds me of disk brakes vs drum brakes. The difference there is just one of cooling as well.

We’re still in the time of infancy for automotive electric motors. It’ll be some time before they settle down to a single industry standard design.
