I have a baby comfrey plant for you….its in a pot. Too bad if you don’t want it;P
I also have a spare one for me too. Nothing like a clean up and a mojo burst to see what is hidden out the back.

what time of day did you think that? at about 12 o’clock i looked at my comfrey and thought i probably should have taken your offer. so thanks.
i’m transporting pea straw at present – some to my daughter and some for here. the small bales are $2.50 each. they are wet but well packed. need any?
i have a pot of 3 strawbs i’ve been saving for you. .i could give you more loose plants if you had soil ready for them. … and you were gonna give me some spring onion seeds (big hit last time i got some of yours).
we must ketchup

Yep to the strawberries and any loose plants. I have an area ready for them. Just need to add the compost. We are home in the mornings as we have Bobby here. (he’s just gone home now with his dad)
Yep bales sound good too:D
About 11 am I said to the elf about the comfrey.

11am ay? – I must be on daylight saving already – but our incidental thoughts were almost coincidental.
it can’t be tomorrow because I have a full load for the daughter. how about next thursday morning?
6 bales of pea straw? and what size is your strawb patch?

I have had the misfortune Yeehah of having to take 18 weeks rec leave since my return from PNG and this was only to bring it back into some semblance of comfort. I could easily afford to take another wad in the near future. Plus there’s always the LSL….

Well I guess that’s the up-side of working fulltime for lotsa years.
I hadn’t worked fulltime in twenty years when I got this job. I’m six weeks off being there for one year and I still don’t feel as though I’ve adapted to spending such a large chunk of my life doing someone else’s bidding. I love my job, but weekends and holidays don’t really make up for what I miss.
Plus only getting 20 days’ annual leave makes it hard to spend the half of the total 12 weeks’ school holidays (as per court orders) with my son.
I have had the misfortune Yeehah of having to take 18 weeks rec leave since my return from PNG and this was only to bring it back into some semblance of comfort. I could easily afford to take another wad in the near future. Plus there’s always the LSL….

With all respect Pepe, I think “forumese” would be regarded as descriptive of a particular language…

It’s a family in-joke to take the blame for something you’re not responsible for in an effort to lift the mood … e.g. kid trips over the shoelaces he hasn’t tied up properly – I say “oh gee that must be all my fault” as he cries over the scraped knee. Throws ‘em off crying and confuses ‘em trying to figure out the logic.

Descriptivists = Linguists, who describe how people use language.
Prescriptivists = Teachers, who prescribe (what they perceive to be) correct language use.

Nah not in my house :) We’re a bit competitive when it comes to bodily functions! Although at the moment the dog is winning (at least, in the ability to clear a room, if not in volume) hands down – I think the cream we’re putting on her belly (which she licks off almost immediately) is throwing out her digestive system.
The dog can now burp out loud, and on the rare occasion she manages to do an audible fart, she is showered with praise, and the humans look at each other lovingly and say how well she fits in :D

Swap it for some seedlings
Let Bobby sleep on it, if he comes around.
Use it as a duster
Compost it
Or pop it in the car and give it to ewe on Tuesday…..

no its a small, fairly seedless, rather sweet one that grows ok for me here. someone i know has succeeded with the bigger continentals hereabouts – and as far as i know burping is not particularly a problem with any of these.

Sorry Lucky, I went past that post, bad timing. The whiz-bang phone let’s me read the posts in the LHC but doesn’t change the colour of the ones I’ve read. I often forget where I was up to and occasionally miss a post or more, especially when the LHC moves up/down with the addition of new posts.

i gave lucky a hard task actually Yeehah.
these strawbs should have been dug, planted and growing by now. the end of july is the end of strawberry transplanting time. and we don’t get rain until monday – so any losses are due to timing more than lucky’s care.
lucky’s chooks are cute – they mill around your feet and let you scratch their backs – they do that flexed squat when you touch them. (don’t know why she needs a pooch LOL).

ok – i can probably deliver thursday say 10am – if this suits.
my first strawbs are small but some bigger green ones coming.
they have 3 crops you know ? – now – about xmas and sometime in jan.
I didn’t know that strawbs have 3 croppings. I might have to rethink my decision to get rid of mine after this season.
are you available for delivery of two bales of barley straw –
tomorrow about 10am -
