Subject: SCORM

Good afternoon
I’m attempting some online modules.
First I got the message that pop ups had to be enabled, which I think I’ve done correctly, as I now have a pop up window.
However, it is stuck thinking.
It seems to be using this SCORM Sharable Content Object Reference Model.
Is anyone familiar with this or what steps I should take now?
Thank you

Define “module” please. It can have multiple meanings.

Aunty P,

SCORM isn’t anything that will affect you.

SCORM is a “standard” if you like, that applies to the design of material that sits under LMSs (Learning Management Systems) That allows the material to be portable across Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, or Blackboard.

Purps, it sounds like a browser issue.

May I suggest you download a “portable” version of your favourite browser and use that for your training?

It’s a version of a browser that doesn’t need to be installed. An example is firefox from portableapps.com

Strange. I just tried it from firefox and it worked properly. Try going to portableapps.com, click the “apps” tab, then find firefox (or chrome, if you prefer that) in the list.

The advantage is that it’ll run from anywhere, so you could put it on a usb stick and run it on a laptop or desktop, though it probably won’t work on a phone (they use a different cpu.) You should be able to get firefox for a phone from mozilla.org
