I really must get hold of some! I don’t think there are many of me on my own, as I’m the youngest of four.

Being the youngest back fired on me. Mum lost a couple before me and I was only given a small chance of survival so I was wrapped in cotton wool for far too long. Made for a VERY rebellious teenager.
My eldest sister tried to intervene on my behalf but was told I was “Too Precious’. Nauseating!!!!!!
That’s one reson my boys had so much freedom.

Gawd I was sooo the opposite, an accident , my bro was 11 months old when I arrived..and from then on it was a hell of a fight to survive and the more life chucked crap at me the more I was determined to throw it back even harder!
The earliest pic of me was when I was 8 yo.
You’se were all so adorable :D

Just what I was thinking! :)
And, apparently, when I was little my older brothers doted on me and did everything for me. Hmm, and now I have ended up a bit on the lazy side??
Mind you, I’m still not convinced it’s not all a big lie. My childhood memories involve chinese arm burns and carpet burns and not too much doting…

Hmm. Maybe. I was a sensitive kid, and it took me until my mid to late teens to work out that my brothers didn’t actually hate me.

not red anymore! lots of grey now with a warm brown.
Shirred swimmers would have been pre-elastine or lycra type fabrics. I think they are nice actually :)

It was probably inexpensive.. ;) I can’t remember which one of my aunts knitted the jumpers or made my sisters dress but I’m sure they played a part. At this stage dad would have still been in hospital from a horrific argument with a backfiring tractor crankhandle. From which he had to be the first to survive having his entire intestines and stomach removed to be untangled and put back together, from which he had to endure 18 major operations over the 17 years more he managed to squeeze out of life. … and that was just the tractor incident.. The war finally caught up with him and his leg had to come off.

I think my life has always been hard times though the good parts weren’t so hard to deal with.. As my father always said.. You are lucky that you are doing it in Australia. Which turned out to be quite exact. As everything he uttered was. Even the times he said BULLDUST.
I can’t complain. I married and raised two new Australians who have both gone on to be at the top of whatever field they have chosen.

Hmm, we had a thing called a camel bite, I wonder if that is the same? Rapid application of a cupped hand? Man, those hurt.. not as much as being hit by a BB gun pellet, though.

Your camel bite must be the same as our horse bite for sure. Fortunately there weren’t any bb guns.

Apparently my Dad had a lot of film waiting to be developed when he could afford it
but before he could do so my older brothers mucked around with it and exposed the film. :(
