I don’t feel like hunting through books or websites atm, so will ask here.
Is there a general rule of them about what kinds of cuttings strike better at certain times of the year?
As I was walking, admiring plants and gardens, I realised that a lot of the lovely things in flower I will have to wait to strike. When it comes to pruning I’m pretty sure that the idea is to wait till flowering is over. Is it the same for flowering?
And if I have a rampant climbing rose that’s getting away and needs hacking back, is it worth whacking a pruning or two in a pot?
what about a deciduous, possibly ornamental (can’t see any fruit yet, has barely finished flowering) plum or similar?
