I’m not the biggest cerebrovore. I have eaten them and I suppose I would in an emergency but I think a lot of that kind of food became popular with my grandparents’ generation during WW2 out of necessity, rather than because it is an amazing flavour sensation. Also a Scottish thing, I suppose, because they’ll eat anything.

What the hell is it with Scots and offal and blood.
You certainly can’t ask someone in a pub in Glasgow, that would mean making eye contact.

I really like brains. They are the meat equivalent of avocado. Texturally interesting, with an unusual but mild flavour. If I see brains on the menu at any restaurant, that’s my meal. I last had them at a Sunshine Coast pub, about 3 months ago.

Mrs V doesn’t like the smell of them cooking, so I’m not allowed to have them at home.

Brains are full of cholesterol.

Haven’t eaten one for over 30 years, didn’t like it back then.

I prefer eating babies.
