For instance, just discovered a couple of weeks ago that although electric-arc welding wasn’t discovered in Australia, nobody used it much until it was developed here, and then spread around the world.

on a similar note. back in the 80s when CD were just becoming the new thing I remember commenting that in the future all your music etc would be on a chip you plugged into your computer.
