Lots of animals need extra water during our increasingly hot summers, even reptiles appreciate a drink. The only thing to consider is keeping the water out of the hot sun because it can get very warm and become unusable just when the animals need it most.

They will appreciate that, as will others coming in for a drink and a bath.

Absolutely water dishes under trees and shrubberies so the water is cool. With stones and sticks in case someone falls in.

i keep meaning to set up a bird bath

my ideal bath would have a small fountain spraying upwards

in the perfect world the water would be recirculated through a UV filter to stop bird diseases spreading
