Time for a new topic… lol… seeing as tho the forums are screwed…

Little Roxie the chihuahua has absolutely horrible breath… we’ve tried denta-stix and giving her only dried food, but neither seem to have any effect…

Is there something that can be done to sort out her doggy breath?

Check her teeth, she may have an infection or a bad tooth. There are freshening agents for dogs, available from vets and pet stores but IME they’re expensive and temporarily effective.

How does her poo smell? Jaz eats biscuits and raw meat with vegies and yoghurt. Her breath and poo are well, not wonderful but certainly inoffensive.

hmm.. last time i unfortunately smelled her poo, i puked.. that was about 3 months ago.

we took her to a vet almost 2 weeks ago, she had her vaccine boosters.. was an expensive 15min visit…

haven’t found anything as yet that seems to relieve her breath to any non-gaggable level

Feed her a spoonful of natural yogurt with her meals. It will help with the bacteria in her gut, and hopefully make her breath better. Sometimes, though, dogs just have nasty breath.
