Subject: Natrium Reactor

An ABC article today had a comment by Bill Gates about Natrium Reactors being quite promising in providing clean green power for the future. I hadn’t heard of them before so did a quick search and found these websites:

“The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is currently engaged in pre-application activities interactions for the Natrium reactor. The Natrium design combines features from the previous GEH PRISM and TerraPower Traveling Wave designs. The proposed Natrium reactor is a 345 MWe pool type sodium fast reactor using HALEU metal fuel.”

I have information on molten salt reactors. Using molten salts as coolants.

I don’t know if this is similar.
