pick them as you need them VG.
start from one end and pick (say) a plastic bucket full. take them inside, wash them, show them to mum, say “stop buying spuds there’s more where these came from”. leave the rest until they die off.

Don’t buy spuds these days Pepe, Get them from work, I can just collect my 2.5kgs and Give them to Family (or give them spuds from the garden).
Shall Start from one end to the other, Thinking about once it has Been Cleaned out Piling up the Spud Plants, Letting them break down into compost with the chooks running over them.

You see PM, Veg is right. You don’t get honey from pumpkin flowers you only get pollen. You tell him Veg. Someone has to keep him on the straight and narrow.
I bet your pumpkin flowers get pollenated well too Veg . That’s what I need, a bee hive for nest time I plant pumpkins. Save me a lot of work and prayer.

Maybe it wasn’t planned. Pumpkins come up anywhere. Sometimes you just let them grow. Maybe the hives were there first.

If it’s going to be food then no names and limited contact for me.
same here bubba…admitedly we only have chooks as livestock, but as we eat them after culling we don’t get “up and personal” with them
It was a lesson hard learned for me.
One weekend, as a child, playing with two adorable saanen kids called Romeo and Juliet, the next visit to be told Pop had knocked them on the head.
I was in shock.
whatsa “saanen”? I’m guessing you called ‘em kids, so I’m thinking Goat?

Goats, we use to have them here they are a Dairy goat, we are now crossing them to our Boar (meat) so we don’t have to bottle feed as much.

I wish I could be a bit more detached. We’ve spent squilions and cried buckets over the cats.
