Scientists find first evidence that black holes are the source of dark energy

some questions

1 Are they suggesting that black holes eat vacuum energy as well as everything else.

These are the particles that pop in and out of existence. They would have to consume quite a lot of vacuum energy to grow.

2 How are black holes releasing dark energy? through the jets or another way ?

Could the surface of the black holes be pulling in and pushing out at the same time? How?

Perhaps they release it like Hawking Radiation

If true then were is the dark energy coming from ?
It makes up a significant part of the universe far more than baryonic matter so even if it converts what it pulls in and expels it wouldn’t be enough
Leakage from others universes perhaps

I dunno but here’s Ethan Siegel’s take on it.

Yes, hawking radiation is released through the jets so maybe dark energy is as well.

or dark energy is being released through the entire surface of the black hole and is not effected by the black holes gravity

Similar to how neutrinos pass through the earth not touching anything.
