I can’t believe AUS got IND all out for 109. Well done.
Head was adjudged LBW for just 9 runs.
AUS currently 1/40 at the end of the 12th over.

At Stumps: Australia lead by 47 runs with 6 wickets remaining.
See how they go day 2.
Matthew Hayden has just said on the host broadcast commentary that he’s never seen a pitch look as bad as this on day two of a Test match.
Green defends the first ball that was arrowing in towards his leg stump from over the wicket by Siraj.
Siraj fields off his own bowling nicely and threatens to throw down the stumps but holds on and just delivers an icy stare at Cam Green, who seems nonplussed.
Siraj has been targeting the stumps with every delivery so far – but Green has been equal to it. Has there been a bit of inswing there too?
Late withdrawal from Cam Green which will undoubtedly be taken really well by the combustible Siraj – some movement behind the bowlers arm, which was an issue yesterday too.

Carey doesn’t last long, he goes for 3 off 7.
India have four wickets in the last 20 balls.
Australia 8-196.

Murphy lasts just six balls before heading back to the sheds with a loud quacking sound and Australia are on the verge of being bowled out – barely quarter of an hour after looking good to push their lead above 100.

Matt Kuhnemann is the last man in.
Five wickets in 28 balls. I mean, in terms of collapses, that’s gotta be up there with one of the best.

We’re not 1 1/2 days in..
All very sillee
In proper cricket you can get an over where not a run is scored or a wicket taken but the bat v ball contest is enthralling.

This does happen.
PWM has noticed that the balls Australia are using in this match seem to be doing a lot more than they were doing under the previous captain.

Well it’s not beyond impossible for India to be in a good position to declare at lunch on day 5 and try and spin Aus out in two sessions as the pitch deteriorates late on the fifth day.
Over.

Why don’t they take the two spare days from each of the prior tests and add them to this one? I think that’s up there for thinkin’, don’t you, hey what but. 😁

Well that’s very timely Woodie.
“OnThisDay in 1939, the longest Test of all commenced. The famous ‘timeless Test’ between South Africa and England, lasted eleven days, before the visitors had to return to Cape Town in order to sail home! “
