I hope this doesn’t stress you too much BG.

MrBL needs to take some holidays fairly early next year (Feb?).

Could we maybe sort out whether we can co-ordinate? If not it’s no biggy.

not sure – non committal at this stage – it is a part of vic we have not seen and it does sound great.

ms pepe has got a new job in a closer school and that might occupy her february – not sure.

February is prolly too early for me… prolly too hot too! You guys can keep Victoria’s 40C days, I’d rather stay up here and watch the cyclones…

It doesn’t HAVE to be feb. I’d just like a consensus so we can work around it.

If it doesn’t suit MrBL’s holiday plans I’ll just come on my own. easy. :)

Comment on what? If you can go? Whether I can go? Do I want to go? Does BG want any of us to go? You said you were going in February. I thought that was it.

OK.
1) MrBL wants to take a trip early next year. Possibly Feb.

2) I thought we may be able to co-ordinate it for then but it’s not urgent.

3) Feb suits BG and HP but not PM.

4) Is there a time that suits all?

MrBL and I will do someting else together in Feb, and I can go to BG’s gathering later in the year on my own, if need be. It would be good to have a time when most could go.

So can we please discuss what suits the majority?????

what does BG want?

I am sure that Bluegreen would love for all of us to descend on her new abode at any time of year, but does BG want to show off her new garden, or new changes or what? She might say, “guys come down in the springtime because I’ll have the place looking fab for youse all” or BG may simply want to settle and make the place “hers” before we head down.

Personally I was thinking about winding my way down the Eastern States and maybe even bumping into in-laws in Taswegia, but last night on the phone, they said they were thinking of a pilgrimage to the tropics… ai ai ai. I would prefer to travel out of school holiday periods, as the roads and campgrounds would be quieter.

D and I were planning a trip north next year. (in winter) Don’t know if I can do one South and one North. the Government might think they are paying me too much.

I was going to suggest that if you were at the airport and we have to go pretty much past it on the way to BG’s, we would take you with us. We would be more than happy to do this. But, our lives are so up in the air so to speak with GS , anything could happen to thwart our trip. Closer to the time, whenever that will be, we will know more.

And I’m all for a gathering rather than individual visiting. Anything for a party!!!

I’m raising the Vic visit to see BG’s new place again because my family are pushing me to go. Surprise! Surprise! I’ve spoken to Bubba about it and nothing has been formally arranged as yet. I know HP was going to make the grade but PM wasn’t ready so early in the year. Was there anyone else that could make the gathering at Swanpool? The Estate would be there for sure. Can’t remember if she said so.

Anyway just say a yay or a nay in this thread and we’ll all know.

Time is only part of the problem bubba…finances are the biggest issue, especially since we’ve just forked out for the ride-on mower. So it would be best to not factor me into the planning. Sorry

I’m ready when ever.

The further ahead you book the cheaper the flight.

A bit hard to make a booking when we don’t have a date yet. Daughter rang to tell me that there was $100 flights to Melbourne up for grabs on Friday.

We’ll never manage to get everyone organised at the same time. I’m just like to wait to hear from PM before we name a date.

There’s always cheap flights going one way.

I don’t own anything warm enough to cope with the area in winter.

I can’t get warm no matter what I wear when I’m down south in the winter.

PM are you going to commit to a date?

As it is still 2010, I fear I cannot commit to a date to a year that is still weeks away… having said that, My January, February, March and now April are filling it up fast and I am unlikely to be available during the first part of 2011. Ask me again in May?

I’m happy with ny month except for the week away in Tas mid March, but we can wait for others to decide what month. I’m still going with late spring 2011.

As long as it DOES happen sometime.

I’ve just got back from the doc.

My feet have been really sore for about two weeks now and I’ve been getting pins and needles in them.

She’s sending me for blood tests to check for arthritus. :(

Will you push my wheelchair if you’re not dead? LOL

If we are going to talk medical I think you’ll will be pushing my wheelchair. I’ve just had a heart monitor strapped to my body for 24hours. Too involved to go into on here.

once upon a time, in a quest to see what my true resting heart rate was, I wore a HRM for 24 hours. This was back in the fit days when my HR during the first hour of the morning was often as low as 46bpm. I scared myself when I read my results, in my deepest period of sleep, sometime between 0150h and 0220h, my heart rate was 21 to 26bpm… ai ai ai. Today, because I do not ride as much, my resting HR is a lot higher and closer to the norm.

My resting HR is 36 bpm. Nothing to do with my fitness level though, it’s to do with my metabolism – thyroid function.
Long as I keep breathing..

your right there potter, some people just have diesel engines instead of 2-stroke. The Umpire in the cricket the other day had a HR of 60 and that was walking around and working…

A slow heart rate is supposed to be better than a fast rate but just how slow is slow enough? I’d say 21 is about as low as you can get without it stopping. D has a very slow HR (around 40pm) but he has an enormous BP (around 220) if he doesn’t take pills. He and I both just about live with a BP machine hanging off our arms. It so boring.
