Subject: Mysterious Fungi.

Spotted today at work, two odd golf ball sized balls with fungi all over and small roots extending. The balls were soft to the touch but with a firm core. The white skin was delicate and was damaged quite easily, revealing a gelatinous layer of clear gel. Upon carving the ball into two halves, a core was exposed with a grey pate-like substance surrounding and then covered in the clear gel…

It seems it maybe a stinkhorn…. Mutinus cartilaginous. Which we do get in the gardens… just never out in the open eh?
