Subject: Indexing pdf files

Anyone here indexing pdf files with Windows Explorer on Win 11?

Mine has stopped working and the settings says there isn’t a valid ifilter, but I can’t find anywhere on the Adobe site to download ifilters, and all the alternative download sites look very dodgy.

Worth looking into, if you have stuff on your hard disk that you ever want to search.

When it’s working it’s easy to use and really fast.

I no longer do anything serious on windows machines. Satya Nadella can go to hell for all I care.

So it seems TATE really is the answer to everything.

The Adobe site was no help at all, and Microsoft no better, but:

had this link:
PDF iFilter Win x64 11.0.01

which took me to the Wayback Machine, which had a download that works, and 5 minutes later it was installed and appears to be working!
