can’t wait until I get my first vege patch up and running. There is a 2m^2^ sandpit in the yard. I have someone coming to take the sand away tomorrow morning. I have the plastic pallets set up to start making compost (but empty.) I think I will buy in some soil/compost to fill the sandpit because it is going to take me a long time to make enough to fill it and I don’t want to wait that long!

yeah too much salt in beach sand, and unfortunately, you can’t wash it off. Even riversand needs to be non-estuarine.

Haha, reminds me of Mr Bon’s favourite EVER moment in Gardening Australia. He doesn’t really watch it but sometimes will see a few minutes when I’m watching it.
This one time the segment opened with a shot of Pete’s corn is Tassie, very tall and thick.
Pete all of a sudden appeared from inside the corn – it was quite memorable :)

i bet you 20 cents that corn will be higher than the asparagus in a week – if you’re getting the thunder storms we are.
