I hope those Wagner brigands haven’t made any long-term plans.

“Ukraine and Russia trade places in battle for Bakhmut

Russia’s Wagner Group claims to have captured Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine this week, but the government in Kyiv says it intends to recapture the ruined city after surrounding it.

“We continue to advance on the flanks in the suburbs of Bakhmut and are actually approaching the capture of the city in a tactical encirclement,” overall ground forces commander Oleksandr Syrskyi said as Ukrainian forces added that they had recaptured 4sq km (1.5sq miles) of territory.”

And maybe the drone attacks and Storm Shadow attacks failed (and maybe they didn’t) but the notable thing is that they were attacks. The Ukrainians are attacking, not the Russians.

Considering the liberal and Labor party have couple of billion dollars into this conflict to fight Russia, I figure that a thread of its own has merit.

I still put my money on the red army

Remember, they are still building steam, the tank factories are still only ramping up. The missile factories, and everything else.

By the time Australia gets involved the russians will be at full strength. Remember when they said Abrams and Leopards would never be sent? You should see F16s going to battle in the next few months, maybe flown by American pilots 10,000 dollars per mission?? Britain might well commit typhoons. Australia could easily commit 20 x F18s and all F35s to this conflict, after all – the Australian airforce is the best in the world – we have nothing to fear from those backward Slavs.

By the time this conflict ends you might well have at least 20,000 – 30,000 Russian tanks operating in the ukraine combat zone ( and beyond) the main thrust might well be back to Berlin. The russians won’t make the same mistake twice.

So, they’re just popping off for a couple of weeks in a hotel in Gelendzhik or somewhere, catch a few rays, a couple of steaks in the restaurant, chill out by the pool, and then back into the rubble and ruin, all refreshed and ready to do business, eh?

No, matey, Wagner only pulls out when it looks like certain doom. Their soldiers are the dregs of the recruitment pool, and utterly expendable in Wagner’s eyes. The only reason they’d pull them out is because keeping them alive is easier and less expensive than finding replacements for them.

If the do get ‘R&R’ it’s going to be in some sheds somewhere a bit back from the line, and living it up on whatever rations they can scrounge from their employers or steal from the locals.

They’ll be back in the line soon, and they won’t be going far from until they win, or they all die.

Australia needs to commit 100,000 troops to this conflict

The way I see things now when it comes to the Australian government is this : what’s the most stupid thing we could do ? We then take this idea and pump it with steroids.

For the moment ukraine is a side show, total casualties perhaps 1.5 million every year ramping up with every year. The russians have to burn through their stocks of the early 2000s yet, it takes time, money and effort to keep a handle on 20 million artillery shells.

Most manufacturers guarantee that their ammunition will last for at least a decade. That said, ammunition can easily last beyond 10 years if it is stored under ideal conditions. There are countless tales of military surplus ammo being used many decades after it was manufactured.

The IFG weapon has a very high angle of fire and is capable of a very high degree of accuracy. The high angle firing capability enables the gun to be fired as a howitzer. SHELF LIFE : The shelf life of the filled ammunition is 30 years.

i’m thinking the russians would have packed this stuff well enough to be used for decades. i australia we’ve buried artillery shells in secret locations – presumably they would have wrapped these things well enough for them to be used for decades

Yes, you’re right old munitions have been used a long time after manufacture. Bombs made in WW2 were used in Vietnam (and may well have been a contributing factor in the disastrous fire aboard USS Forrestal).

The things i was most familiar with were 4.5 in / 115mm and 5in. / 125mm shells, including their storage in magazines

I take the story of buried artillery rounds with a grain of salt. Explosives deteriorate slowly if kept in proper storage. A well-run armaments storage is just about the most carefully managed and maintained facility imaginable. If conditions are not properly managed, deterioration can take place at exponential rates. Ammunition is meant to be used, and careful management ensures that munitions are not kept past their ‘use by’ date.

With Russia’s undeniable record of mismanagement of facilities, deterioration of maintenance, and outright embezzlement of funds for various military functions, i sincerely doubt that all of their magazines have been properly run, and, in fact, it’s likely that quite a number of them have not been for some time.

If i was a Russian artilleryman, i would be looking closely at the ammunition supplied out of those 20 million shells, and treating any that have long-ago dates on them very cautiously. If they are going to dig deeply into their stocks, we might well see a rise the incidence of premature/muzzle bursts and in-breech explosions.

presumably if you were burying shells you’d find a well drained / higher ground not affected by flood, ideally easy to dig. ideally on government land.

how deep? ideally not too deep, worst case scenario could be excavated by hand

its why one of my older ideas would be to simply bury a solid fuel missile in a sealed pipe with a easily changed battery every say ten years

you bury it and come the day send a signal to it , the lid blows off and it roars off into the atmosphere.

you don’t have one / few ammo dumps that can be annihilated, they lost 500 million in weapons in a russian strike last week i think (and other strikes)

I don’t dismiss the Russians as being on their last legs.

Russia is, indeed, infested with tanks. Some are in good condition, some terrible, but a lot of them could be made to work. Perhaps as many as 5,000.

They won’t be modern, they won’t be the best, in fact, a lot of them would be absolute death traps for their crews.

Bu there could be a lot of them, and that, as i’ve said before, is the Russian way of doing things. Sheer numbers. Everything is expendable, in the eyes of their political and military leadership, tanks, aircraft, and especially people. Losses are not a concern, just keep feeding them in.

It makes me wonder why wookie is so keen for them to win. He doesn’t seem like a ‘bad’ person, with any liking for evil causes. Russian leadership considers their own people to have no value, other than that they can pull a trigger or stop a bullet. What kind of regime does he think they’d impose on a ‘renegade’ people like the Ukrainians?

General Zaluzhny – permanently incapacitated. Artillery / missile strike

Bakhmut falls

Drone attacks on Russian navy , fails.

Storm shadow attacks , fails

Poland makes more noise threatening to invade from the west , again.

Wagner leaves bakhmut for r and r. Bakhmut 50 – 100k dead/ wounded.

Artillery and missile attacks on uko forces continues. They’ve been targeting ammo dumps for weeks now. 500kg – 1.5 tonne FAB glide bombs used.

Update

Zaluzhny returns from the dead after a 3 week absence

Might have been something with diabetes , house arrest, or an unjury.

Call me blinkered, call me old fashioned, call me Ishmael, but, in my book, getting your water-borne drone hard up against the quarterdeck of your target vessel, with the video/comms link still obviously working and presumably able to detonate the 200kg high-explosive load does not look awfully much like a failure to me.

If there’s any current word on the location of and condition the AGI ‘Ivan Khurs’, i will be more than pleased to give it proper consideration.

Ivan Khurs Update — Satellite Imagery of Sevastopol Base Shows The Ivan Khurs Has Docked

So it seems.

It appears that it has not been sunk. We can’t tell from that image whether or not there’s any damage.

However, it’s not at sea, and, as some of the comments point out, if an intelligence-gathering ship is not at sea, it’s not doing its job.

So, damaged or not, having retreated to a safe berth, its function has been negated.

Massive drone attacks against infrastructure, ammo dumps continue

The ukos have been bombing hospitals for ages, the russians hit a Ukrainian hospital full of injured soldiers – it’s a smoking wreck.

Some Ukrainian commander has just been shot by a company commander to stop a suicidal attack against russian forces.

Other pages show tonnes of lancet drone attacks , the m777 artillery piece seems popular.

Pravda, (Russian: “Truth”) newspaper that was the official organ of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1918 to 1991. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, numerous publications and Web sites continued under the Pravda name.

whats uncanny is bezmenovs assertion that this was how it was going to be

we absorbed the mind virus of the soviet union and will collapse the same way as the soviet union. i mean who in the fuck takes in 1.5 million new people in the middle of a housing crisis? whats incredible is the people losing out, being turfed out their houses will keep voting for the very problem that put them in the street !

when the lights went out recently i was ok, my lights came back on after a minute and life went on – and you know what? those thousands of people sat in the dark won’t have learnt a thing. what happens when 1.5 million new people all requiring more power

the CSIRO
highest for multiple family households (20 kWh/day per household) followed by couples with children (17 kWh/day per household). lowest for those living in single person households (8 kWh/day per household) and group households (12 kWh/day per household).

right , right so 1 person in a house isn’t going to turn on a 3kwh air con, lights , washing machine, dish washer

worse case scenario

1.5 million single people will need 18 million kwh hours extra every day but of course we all know it will be more – what if they need the power of a night ? what if 1.5 million new people all want to use their power at the same time ? at the same time closing power stations

why mention this? because its all related – the same people pumping money into this war are the same people do damaging things. their stupid decisions in one field often point to stupid decisions in every other decision. should we have a refendum on immigration ?

I think we know who is supplying Ukraine with its requirements.
UM, Who’s paying Putin then?

we’ve just shipped over a billion dollars to this conflict (and most likely more – this is gulf war syndrome 3, more money down the drain to prop up a doomed conflict)

no doubt we are sending soldiers over there – i wonder if we’ll see footgage of them executing civillians again? the australian special forces were cutting the hands off dead taliban (you might know them – we fought them for 20 years and lost).

i just see it as a mental disease these days.

whats uncanny is bezmenovs assertion that this was how it was going to be

we absorbed the mind virus of the soviet union and will collapse the same way as the soviet union. i mean who in the fuck takes in 1.5 million new people in the middle of a housing crisis? whats incredible is the people losing out, being turfed out their houses will keep voting for the very problem that put them in the street !

when the lights went out recently i was ok, my lights came back on after a minute and life went on – and you know what? those thousands of people sat in the dark won’t have learnt a thing. what happens when 1.5 million new people all requiring more power

the CSIRO
highest for multiple family households (20 kWh/day per household) followed by couples with children (17 kWh/day per household). lowest for those living in single person households (8 kWh/day per household) and group households (12 kWh/day per household).

right , right so 1 person in a house isn’t going to turn on a 3kwh air con, lights , washing machine, dish washer

worse case scenario

1.5 million single people will need 18 million kwh hours extra every day but of course we all know it will be more – what if they need the power of a night ? what if 1.5 million new people all want to use their power at the same time ? at the same time closing power stations

why mention this? because its all related – the same people pumping money into this war are the same people do damaging things. their stupid decisions in one field often point to stupid decisions in every other decision. should we have a refendum on immigration ?

Gwarsh!

I know these videos wont be for everyone, but this is one of the most…. I dunno, just one of the “most” videos to come out of the Ukraine war so far.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

Face to face with the enemy: trench battles of the 3rd SAB for the “road of life” to Bakhmut
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LulaA-U7-M

We are publishing a full video of the assault on Russian positions near the “road of life” to Bakhmut, carried out by fighters of the Third Separate Assault Brigade. The military called highway T0504, from Chasovoy Yar through Khromovo to Bakhmut, “the road of life”. The last paved road, which can be used to deliver ammunition, provisions to the defenders of the fortress city, send reinforcements and evacuate wounded and dead soldiers.

In the course of a combat mission, the attack aircraft of the 3rd OShBr enter an enemy trench and, with the support of drones, carry out a sweep under enemy artillery fire, destroying the occupiers at a distance of several meters. The video footage shows the incredible courage and fortitude of Ukrainian soldiers. Competent actions of the commander, coordinated work of the group, desperation, courage, ingenuity and initiative of each of the fighters, and most importantly – high motivation to beat the enemy on Ukrainian soil.

As a result of the successful combat operation, 30 occupiers were eliminated. The 3rd OShBr pushed the Russians away from the “road of life”, making it impossible to maintain the route under enemy fire control.
For courage and heroism, eight soldiers of the 3rd company of the 1st assault battalion of the 3rd OSHbr were awarded the badges of honor of the commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine and presented for state awards.

Ok, i have some problems with recently released video and images of the Russian warship Ivan Khurs’ return to port in Sebastopol.

1. On this webpage, dated 27 May 2023:

https://www.agenzianova.com/en/news/ivan-khurs-ship-undamaged-port-sevastopol/

we can see images and video of the Ivan Khurs mooring stern-on to the wharf (‘Mediterranean style’). Here’s the still photo:

The video is now being rather shitful about loading on my PC, but it does show the same scene as in the still photo. While the ship’s name has been painted out, it is the Ivan Khurs, and there is clearly no damage to the port quarter (the back end) where the drone video shows contact was made.

2. On this reddit page, also dated 27 May 2023, it’s indicated that the Ivan Khurs is moored alongside the wharf in Sebastopol. Impossible to determine whether or not it’s damaged from that image which is shown here:

3.According the reddit poster, that satellite image bears a remarkable resemblance to the Ivan Khurs image of 24 Apr 2023:

4.Now let’s look again at the still photo of the Ivan Khurs coming in to the wharf, allegedly on 26 or 27 May 2023. In particular, let’s look at the grey warship which moored to starboard (over the far side) of the Ivan Khurs.

It took me a while to get a good i.d. on that ship, but i finally picked it a being the old Kashin-class large ASW ship ‘Smetlivy’. It can be identified by the ‘Peel Group’ and ‘Owl Screech’ fire control radars visible in the photo, by the twin SA-N-1 anti-aircraft missile launcher in front of the Owl Screech radar, and by the siting of the RBU-600 anti-submarine mortars (the odd grey barrel-shaped thing just behind the Owl Screech radar), and by the superstructure shape.

‘Smetlivy’ was decommissioned in 2020, and is now a museum ship. It’s unlikely that a museum ship would be maintained in a n active naval dockyard, but i suppose that it’s possible, so we’ll go along (for the moment) with the notion that the Ivan Khurs is moored with Smetlivy to starboard ( to the right).

5. But, let’s look again at the satellite image, also allegedly from 27 or maybe 26 May 2023.

The vessel labelled as Ivan Khurs has to its right a vessel which is considerably shorter in length than is Ivan Khurs.

Ivan Khurs is 95 metres / 311ft 8in long.

Smetlivy is 144 metres / 472ft 4in long.

So, where is the Ivan Khurs, really, and what (if anything) is moored to starboard of it?

Of course. Apologies, i’d forgotten that.

But, i post here a snip from the reddit account:

As you can see, the pro-Ukrainian poster has re-posted the item which was put up by BSF: Sevastopol (BSF being the Russian Black Sea Fleet).

So, it’s the Russians saying ‘see, here’s the Ivan Khurs, safe and sound in Sevastopol with this much short ship to its right’.

Yet it continued to send video right up until it was alongside the ship.

Although it is possible that the radio link to the detonator was disrupted. Still, you’d thin that there might be a backup, a contact initiator or a magnetic anomaly trigger of some sort.

It’s the dirtiest, most brutal, most degrading, most obscene business there is. Imagine living like that every day.

This is why you’ll often hear it said of returned soldiers that ‘they never talked about it’. If you’d done these things, would you tell your kids or your wife or your partner about it?

When the cold weather set in over there, and the pace of movement slowed down, i feared that trench warfare might develop, but people said no, not likely. And what do we see here? The very environment that makes animals out of men and which reduces all of them, on both sides, to the lowest levels people can reach.

Will someone just shoot Putin, for Christ’s sake?

an uplink is more resistant to jamming, because it is the TX output, and downlink though involves an RX front-end, which even when variously hardened is more susceptible

TX is in the watts range, RX is in the uW range

i’m one person saying hey this is stupid , dangerous and self harming, what does it matter?

we couldn’t win a war against 14 year old boys with 30 year old AK47s – i’m sure we’ll be fine fighting a military super power that MAKES all their equipment from satellites, ICBMS, hypersonic missiles , is making trillions selling oil, gas, minerals, selling weapons, jet fighters.

i’m one person saying you are wrong, don’t get your knickers in a twist, its fine, you’ve won.

You never admit you support Putin because you’re embarrassed about what this says of your character.

If a subset of yank think tanks and senators have been fuelling this , creating this conflict they need to be in jail.

Pravda is always good for a laugh.

Pravda, (Russian: “Truth”) newspaper that was the official organ of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1918 to 1991. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, numerous publications and Web sites continued under the Pravda name.

In 1996, there was an internal dispute between the owners of Pravda International and some of the Pravda journalists which led to Pravda splitting into different entities. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation acquired the Pravda paper, while some of the original Soviet Pravda journalists separated to form Russia’s first online paper Pravda Online (now Pravda.ru), which is not connected to the Communist Party. After a legal dispute between the rival parties, the Russian court of arbitration stipulated that both entities would be allowed to continue using the Pravda name.

The Pravda paper is today run by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, whereas the online Pravda.ru is privately owned and has international editions published in Russian, English, French and Portuguese. Wiki

Putin’s private army should be listed as terrorists: opposition

The federal opposition has called for the Albanese government to list Vladimir Putin’s private army as a terrorist organisation, which would make it a criminal offence to be a member.

British media have reported the United Kingdom is days away from announcing a decision to list Wagner as a terror group, while France’s parliament has called on the European Union to do the same. The United States has already designated Wagner as a “significant transnational criminal organisation” and placed sanctions on the mercenary group.

I can empathise as why russia is doing this, men marching around with swastikas – zero empathy. It’s another war on the otherside of the planet – stop feeding money and weapons into the conflict and it goes away. I don’t support anyone , I don’t know putin personally. What I do know is this another artificial conflict that requires billions / trillions to be spent providing bad people weapons.

Victoria nuland is one of the architects of the war, her grandfather was from the conflict zone, suffered some tragedy there, this affected the son who then transferred the hate of imperial Russia on to the daughter. Practically all these characters that have starred these conflicts have a Jewish background, there’s bad blood there I’m afraid , they are killing two birds with one stone, get russians and Ukrainians to kill each other. Win win.

The collapse of the soviet union and American soldiers being pumped into the middle east to kill Arabs

From my time on Israel I discovered the greater Israel project. The old testament has the Abraham’s God giving all the land from the Nile to the Euphrates to Abraham’s descendants. As I was told by the orthodox Jews of the west bank , the world of the future is there are two types of people, Jews and non Jews. The non Jews basically live a life of enslavement , they can be killed by anything as trivial as waking a jew from sleep. Rather than reading any conspiracy novel it was all laid out for me straight from the horses mouth. Abraham ( someone passing through until he could collect enough money to get out) told me that the whole place was going to go up in a big mushroom cloud. They believe they are a master race.

Its not anti Semitic – a Semite is anyone from the middle east, Judaism is a religion followed one of the semetic groups.

Its not a conspiracy they basically told me what they believed, I didn’t know much about them until I went over there. It’s just another religious group that wants to kill everyone / enslave them. The Muslims have a similar view of non Muslims. If you didn’t convert they would kill you. The only reason Europe wasn’t Muslim until a few decades ago was they were stopped at Vienna i think.

I’m fairly familiar with lunatics, they have similar outlooks. When you stop giving the lunatics weapons and money all the conflicts stop.

“An interesting observation on the explosions in Zhytomyr.

1) Drones “Geran-2” began to fly deep into the protected area above the military units, where air defense is deployed. This means that the tactics of their use have changed – the Ukrainian air defense is working worse and worse, despite the sending of more and more weapons.

2) Judging by the observations and information from local residents, the Geran-2 drone dived onto the object, making a semicircle. This suggests that the software for setting up the flight task has been significantly improved. Now drone operators can put in the guidance block “the preferred option for hitting the target.”

3) Judging by what kind of explosion was in Zhytomyr, “Geran-2” is equipped with an enlarged warhead. If you measure it with an explosion, then it is about 15-20 kg.

4) Refinement of “mopeds” allows you to make them cheaper, more accurate, more powerful and more efficient in use. Which will definitely make it possible to increase efficiency during massive missile strikes with the opening of enemy air defenses.” (Masno)

Win win.

I think there are a complex interplay of issues going on. Not the least the anger and rage Putin has for the way his city was under siege by the Nazis, with a million people dying of starvation, and the way his family was treated by the Nazis when he was growing up.

Win win.

I think there are a complex interplay of issues going on. Not the least the anger and rage Putin has for the way his city was under siege by the Nazis, with a million people dying of starvation, and the way his family was treated by the Nazis when he was growing up.

https://www.pacesconnection.com/blog/how-vladimir-putin-s-childhood-is-affecting-us-all

What do the past actions of Germans have to do with the present government and people of Ukraine?

I haven’t read the link but Putin is only seven months older than me and the Nazis were long gone when I was growing up. So I fail to see how the Nazis did things to him in his childhood.

MOSCOW, May 31. /TASS/. Russia’s Aerospace Forces destroyed the last Ukrainian combat ship in the Odessa port in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Wednesday.

“On May 29, the Ukrainian Navy’s last combat ship Yury Olefirenko was destroyed as a result of a strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces’ precision weapons against the anchorage of naval ships in the Odessa port,” the spokesman said.

The Ukrainian Navy operated about 25 combat ships, including five patrol and six artillery boats before Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian Navy’s combat assets included the Gola Pristan anti-saboteur boat and the Svatovo assault boat. Upon Kiev’s attempt to storm Snake Island in the Black Sea on May 9 last year, Russian forces sank three Ukrainian Centaur-class armored assault boats and each of them could have carried a marine infantry platoon.

The Ukrainian Navy also operated nine armored gunboats, one of which, the Akkerman, was abandoned by the crew in Berdyansk, according to information of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta daily. The Vinnitsa corvette and the Yury Olefirenko medium amphibious assault ship were sunk.

There is some talk ( again) of poland committing troops directly to the conflict perhaps a direct invasion of russia (?) Or driving straight into ukraine (?). Other smaller NATO allies might be up for this too ? Moldova wants to get involved in this war too.

There is talk of arming ukraine with tactical nukes

If the russians suspect they are planning this you’ll see a Russian first strike on the major cities of Europe.

Britain and Western Europe once again become vast forest – no one lives there anymore.

With America its unknown.maybe an example would need to be made and the yank forces stand down? Failing that America no longer exists.

South America and Africa may well be the only habitable zones ? Maybe you’d need to create a marker across the continents to warn future generations not to stray into these zones due to contamination?

I was thinking nowadays that a major scale war against a power with nukes won’t have a decisive victory.
You could beat them back across any borders to their home soil but invading to defeat them highly unlikely as they could launch nuclear weapons

A first strike policy is the winning move with nuclear war.

You pummel all of the mainland and try and knock out the silos , bunkers, decision making centres. You’d need to start following the subs into the ocean ( the yanks were complaining the russians have started doing this – they can’t shake them). Knock out the airbases and ports.

The first wave is important – its then a matter of waiting for the sub fleet to realise that no further messages are coming from the mainland – it would be up to the captain to launch or sail away to south America or somewhere like that.

I was thinking though it was a conventional war, the enemy is pushed back to its homeland and there it stays licking it’s wounds.
It has nuclear weapons so could wreck the planet if its invaded.
Not sure what a nuclear war would achieve at all, even if you win what do you get as spoils of war, its probably something done out of spite.

It had a 100-megaton capacity, though the resulting fallout from such a blast was considered too dangerous for a test situation. Thus, it was modified to yield 50 megatons, which was estimated to be about 3,800 times the strength of the U.S. bomb dropped on Hiroshima during World War II.

Right now, it seems that the Ukrainians are doing the winning.

But nothing in warfare can be taken for granted. The history of unexpected reversals is too long.

The Ukrainians have two problems ahead of them:

Firstly, to maintain the impetus of the offensive.

Secondly, the main Russian line of prepared resistance is still ahead of them, and breaching that without significant air power is going to be tough.

On the other hand, it was built by Russians, so…

Well, i’m glad we cleared that up.

Now, Stalin imprisoned about 18 million Russians in the gulag, and about 1.5 million – 1.7 million of them died in the camps, because he sort of that they might not entirely agree with his own way of thinking.

Presumably, Western leaders are entirely within their rights to do similar to their own populations? I mean, we’ve already established that was good for the goose is what’s good for the gander in this sort of thing. Keep the books balanced, and all that.

Your figure of 500,00 Iraqi children is likely to be wrong.

The fact that any children were killed is horrible, That they were killed in the numbers that they were is utterly appalling.

However, the figure of 550,000 stemmed from one UNICEF report, which relied on questionable data.

Brown University’s estimate of Iraqi death is 315,000 in total. Again absolutely appalling, horrifying, but not 500,00 of any age group.

https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/costs/human/civilians/iraqi

Save the Children Fund gives the staggering figure of 32,945 children, with the true total likely to be ‘much higher’. But it takes a wild imagination to carry that possible figure to 500,000.

https://www.savethechildren.net/news/one-child-killed-or-maimed-every-5-hours-over-20-years-war-afghanistan

NBC News gave the figure of Iraqi civilians as ‘approximately 200,000’.

https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/meetthepressblog/iraq-war-numbers-rcna75762

Massachusetts Institute of Technology gives a wide-ranging estimate of 150,000 – 400,000 Iraqi civilians of all ages.

https://web.mit.edu/humancostiraq/

There are estimates in other places which are both slightly higher and considerably lower than 500,000. There is no denying that all of these figures, even the lowest, are an abomination.

But, i’m sure that you can see that your pronouncement of 500,000 childre killed is to be taken with a largegrain of salt.

Leopard tanks HAVE been captured.

Once war kicks off in the belly of Europe with a conflict in the Balkans all bets are off.

Hundreds of armoured personnel carriers / tanks/ vehicles have been destroyed

( a Russian helicopter gunship blew up some combine harvesters a few days ago – someone pointed out that the funny thing sticking out of the vehicle isnt a barrel its a grain chute.)

3 saboteurs from the Kosovo police caught armed creeping across the Serbian border.

NATO is running military exercise at the moment ( airforce) so maybe the plan to have a pre emptive strike on Serbia – shock and awe.

Military exercises are not something you cook up in a few days, or even a few weeks.

They typically involve months and months of planning and co-ordination, and are often on the participants’ schedules for a couple of years before the preparation gets under way. Especially for international exercises. To suggest otherwise is to display ignorance of the realities

They didn’t open the newspaper, see that the Kosovars are getting a bit rambunctious, then just grab their helmets and dash out the door to stage an exercise as ‘cover’ for something.

Russia plays the long game

The opposing side starts placing the pieces on the board, the russians do like wise, the other side starts moving its pieces – likewise Russia. When pieces are taken Russia takes pieces.

The russians are hunkering down behind the minefields and tank traps picking off the armoured columns with missiles and artillery.

One gruesome piece of footage has some russian chap running up to a leopard past the fractured bodies of NATO troops – legs/ guts everywhere

Things heat up in the Balkans – fast

It comes to how all the military alliances play out, who stays neutral and it becomes a straight fight between Serbia and NATO.

Serbia is a small landlocked country. Given the situation of NATO exercises it either launches everything and lands the first blow or does what it did last time – just absorb the blows.

NATO power systems would be need to be hit first and fast. Something tells me the Serbs have sat on their arse for decades and haven’t prepared at all.

The RuAF has been mainly inactive, dropping glide bombs/ missiles from safe zones where SAMs can’t reach

As NATO SAM systems have been slowly destroyed the RuAF has become more active. Helicopter gunships are blunting the offensive in a turkey shoot operation as German panzers charge across minefields.

When Australia goes to war with Russia they’ll just finish off our infrastructure with hypersonic weapons and just forget all about us. With no electricity and sporadic water supply the cities will collapse and gastro will finish millions off. Australia has very few oil refineries, if they manage to fix them the repaired refinery will just be destroyed again.

When you’ve been told first hand it’s no longer a conspiracy. Every culture has plans to take over the world – the secret is to not be part of their nefarious plans. You turn off the money and weapons and then everyone has to negotiate. A Buddhist once told me the world of the future would be Buddhism ( shakes head). The Muslims have some grand plans to take over.

The natural outcomes of communism had started taking hold by then. It’s like facism , people go along with it for a while until the downsides affect them directly.

Must look up that production. Did i see Michael Palin in there?

Russia really was much better off without Beria. He would have taken Stalin’s methods, and vastly expanded on them. Life in Russia would have been a living hell for each and every citizen.

While he was imprisoned, Beria would only eat eggs, which he cooked himself, as he believed that this meant he couldn’t be poisoned.

A Michael Palin double perhaps or was Palin implicated in the coup.
Maybe he is/was a communist socialist humanist sympathizer.
I think MI5 should keep an eye on our man Palin, his cousin says she can see him from Alaska.

Yep.

Ukraine’s battlefields are shaping up to look like a tank time warp.

Russia is thought to have lost more than half its operational tank fleet since the start of the February 2022 invasion and is now “scraping the barrel,” according to military analysts.

Images that have emerged in recent weeks show Moscow has started dragging 70-year-old museum pieces into the conflict.

Onlookers have mocked the move, referring to the fleet of T-62 and T-55 tanks — which first appeared in the 1940s — as dad’s army
