I’m not as good at catching bird like trans is but I have to get closer to them than he does.
Here are some that I have managed to get a view of at all.

Nup.

The foot looked a bit canine but the nup deters me.

Big clue give away. There is no foot.

Well, Within any above whispered cooee.
There exists a rare and endangered fragment of mallee between me and the local Mallee Park.
it is in this 6 < 8 metre strip that this black duck nested.

Maybe a fox. Might take them back to its burrow if it has young or carry them to a safe place to eat. If the latter, it shouldn’t be far to find the shells.

A bit dark. Fed first image through “auto adjust colours”.

Definitely a nest, but for what bird?
