Black or brown thumbs are the best. It means you are making good soil.
People only get green thumbs from crushing plants between the fingers.

Rosemary is one very beneficial plant as well as being attractive.
Happy happy birthday

But you have to bash the rosemary to get the smell…Daphne just wafts gently…

I have a white Daphne plant, which grows hard against the trunk of an old Eucalyptus tree and has been perfuming the backyard for over a month now. Showing signs of finishing its flowering. A sprig in a vase on the floor in the toilet is magic. The white Daphne smell is subtly different from the purple ones.
And some ostensibly Spring flowers from my garden (in Winter). Violets, mini daffs, snowflakes, assorted daffs and grape hyacinths.

Happy Birthday.
May the happiness of birthdays be upon you yhis day
Amen.

the chicken treat near my house has rosemary growing along the drive thru.. I don’t eat chicken treat, but my son does and I love going to get it for him, because sitting there waiting to get to the window I run my hand along the rosemary and the smell is delicious.
I also used rosemary to smell when I was studying for exams. Then I would take a sprig into the exam with me. (one day the invigilator told me that I can’t have it on my desk in the exam because it was a ‘study aid’.. I asked the head invigilator and they said ‘pfft no it’s not’ so I was allowed to have it on my desk. point it.. you don’t have to ‘bash’ rosemary, you can just gently rub and get that glorious smell.
I cannot find a genuine rosemary scent in a bottle though… like for a diffuser or something.. they all seem a little off to me.. but then rosemary grows everywhere so it’s not a huge deal.

surprisingly Alyce just gave me some home made rosemary oil. She uses it on her hair.. But it is food grade so I might use it in the kitchen.

When I bother to think about it, I steep rosemary leaves in hot water, cool it down and use the liquid as a rinse after washing my hair.

It is a good hair conditioner and it helps with dandruff.
