Didn’t watch it, but guessing:
He actually said “hate thy neighbour”?
… and people have been following his teachings ever since.

I got about 12 seconds in and bailed. It’s about Atlantean interplanetary civilisation.

Glad I didn’t waste that 12 seconds here then :)

Best to do a search on the guys name before even contemplating watching a video
“Billy Carson is the founder and CEO of 4BiddenKnowledge Inc…”
I watched some of it, but that background noise of ‘wooo! wooo! wooo!’ became really annoying
Are those blokes from the Church of Zarkov or something? Billy Whatsisname needs to do some better ‘research’. I got as far as the bit about the Catholic sacrament of confession and i could see he was half-arsing it.
I was raised Catholic, and if you think that Catholics don’t ponder on the ethics, mechanisms, and value of confession, you’re wrong. It seems a little wacky to a lot of them, but it’s there and it actually does some people good.
There’s people who feel that they’ve done something wrong and who are very guilt-ridden and anxious about it. Confession is an opportunity for some of them to unburden themselves about it, and discuss it with someone else. While they might not be willing to talk about it elsewhere, they may feel more comfortable with the confessional because the Catholic church does consider it to be a ‘sacrament’, and the secrecy of the confession is inviolable. Absolutely. If there’s one thing you can be sure of with the Catholic church, it’s that whatever you talk about in the confessional, the priest will disclose it to no-one, ever. Not to other priests, the bishop, the Pope, the cops, the tax man, no-one.
It’s a form of counselling, and the priest will discuss your problems, what your motivations were, how you think its affected other people, how its affecting you, and what you think you could or should do about it now. Anyone who’s been a priest for a few years will have heard it all, and is probably as experienced as most other counsellors to give advice. It’s a form of counselling that pre-dates just bout any other in existence, the only counselling that was available for many, many centuries.
And Billy seems to think it’s about ‘talking to this guy in an invisible box’ (if he’d ever actually seen a confessional, he’d know that it’s quite tangible) and that ‘penance’ means paying money to the Catholic church.
Billy is talking out of his arse.
Penance means offering prayers and examining your conscience further to try to demonstrate to God that you do truly regret whatever it is that you did, in which case, the Church teaches that God will forgive you that wrongdoing. How you square it with other people right here, right now, is up to you and them.
So that’s as far as i got. I’m no great fan of religion, and, like i say, confession is something that seems a trifle weirdo even to a lot of Catholics, but if you’re going to diss it, at least get your facts straight.
So that’s as far as i got.

I too was baptized a Catholic and did indeed go through a lot of what you describe, as I am sure many also did.
I see the words, “do your own research” were used.
So much for my saved 12 seconds.
I did a Binge on Billy Carson and found an article at
The Alternative Answer To Everything
which tells me he is an expert in ancient civilisations.
I hadn’t heard of Wikitia, but they say they are “an encyclopedia by verified editors”.
Who verifies the verified editor verifiers, I wonder.
As for the one true original answer to everything it says, “William Holsey “Billy” Carson (born 1 August 1955) is an American actor and musician most famous in Finland.”
who I suspect is someone else entirely.

Exactly so
He points out that the entire religion is a re-hash of dozens of beliefs from all over the ancient world
stripped of it’s spookier bits and all moshed together and sent through a meat grinder that’s used as
Money-Making CONTROL MECHANISM made awe-inspiring through its architecture, stained glass
and paintings paid for by easily lead guilt-ridden people who’ve learned it by rote until it’s virtually
become ingrained in our very DNA along with being forbidden to ever research let alone question it.
btw Aug 1st, 1955 is also my brother’s b’day
