I think it is very important for our environment that things are not just used once and thrown away. Even if they are no longer suitable for their original purpose, some innovative thinking and a bit of creativity can make some materials remain useful for long after the term of their natural life. So I was pretty excited when I came across a stall at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show that sold these items all made from old materials given new life, such as car tyres and inner tubes, wrapping paper, toothpaste tubes and old magazines. I bought Mr BG a satchel made of old inner tubes and he loves it :D
