Some scary stuff in the BOM forecasts in the next few days

About 9PM a storm monster gobbled up all the sky and started flashing and banging ominously very violent thunder and lightning which blew out the power. A downpour of 18mm in about ten minutes then a fantastic light and noise displaywhich went on for more than two hours musta been thousands of lighting strikes. So hot and sweaty I couldn’t sleep so stood under a cold shower and then I could get to sleep, Jolted back awake at about 3AM with lights on and TV blaring. Made this report, the rain has gone but now the wind is gusting everywhere. 23 degrees still after all that.

If it remains on that track I’ll be in the quietest quadrant so should only get rain a a bit of wind.
In Yasi I had exactly that. Rain and two strong gusts of wind.

You can see the scattered leaves here, in Brisbane. Usually the leaves were all raked up.

Gosh. Whole branches fell down around here.
I’ve also been informed that the Energy people will be out here doing vital emergency repairs. So power will be out for another half a day.

Not Yasi, Melbourne. But we had a LOT of rain at the same time. Cold front went through, I think.

*Great-Granny crocheted him a bananas in pyjamas doll. When he was five he wrote his first essay in Word: Boonana is my favrit toy. His jacket comes off.
