Still, he got to 90 before he missed one.

Tail didn’t wag much. I was hoping we’d get to 500. But 487 all out it is.

The Aussie cricket teams now seems to be sponsored by a Japanese car company.

Pakistan by a US beverage company.

“Four! It’s full and way down leg, and Shakeel just helps it on its way behind square.
Oh and then five wides. Barely landed it on the cut stuff and Alex Carey couldn’t wrestle in the bouncing ball. Starc uses the bail to dig something out of his spikes, but I’d be surprised if that was to blame for the past few overs.
Bang! Sensational off drive on the half-volley by Shakeel. And he holds the pose.
Sakeel chases a wide one, perhaps sick of watching them sail by for no run.
And then an absolute seed swinging away and just beating the outside edge, completely bamboozling Shakeel, who tried to whip to leg from outside off.
Starc gets a reassuring pat on the shoulder from Cummins after a rough 13-run over.”

Mitch has a brain fade.

PAK 8/230 now. Going to well short of a first innings lead.

20 more runs to the FOT but the question is should Australia enforce?

The conventional wisdom these days is not to enforce it if the opposition only just falls short and is likely to end up with a lead on their second innings, so to avoid a run-chase on an old wicket. Also give the bowlers a break, they have been out in the field for the best part of two days now, in mid-30 C heat. They will likely tire very quickly and give away lots of runs bowling on a third day in the same heat.

Yeah, I think over all the day belonged to Australia, apart from the couple of early wickets with the new ball.

Bat on till lunch tomorrow at least, see how the pitch and conditions are playing before deciding when you want to declare.

Two of the top 10 wicket takers of all time for Aus are playing in this match. Lyon ranked 3rd and Starc 5th.

Cummins and Hazelwood are ranked 12th and 13th respectively.

Gives you some idea of the quality of this attack.
