A friend invited me round for a Christmas cuppa (she offered “cheer” but I’ve got a 2 & 1/2 hour drive ahead at lunchtime) so I won’t be totally lonesome this morning.

I just have to twiddle my thumbs until the appointed time for collecting the 50/50 boy from his father’s place then my REAL Christmas Day can begin :)

Merry Christmas everyone, wherever you are :)

We’re getting ready to go to Mrs Daughters and I’m very excited! GS is at eldest daughters place and shes helping him get cleaned up showered, shaved and dressed in new clothes, and then I got the news that JJ will be here by 5 pm! Woohoo! If I wasn’t so sore I’d be jumping up and down! GS cried when he heard JJ was coming to ‘hang out’ with him.
Xmas with both my boys present has never happened before. We’re all madly texting hugs to each other :D:D:D:D

sounds like you are going to have a wonderful day. don’t get too excited though. Be careful though or you will be very sore by the end of the day.

There’s a little cafe up the mountain that always has a bell bird colony nearby. It’s a lovely spot to sit with a coffee and just listen.

Merry Christmas everyone. I’ve had a beaut day with my kids and grandchildren and MrS extended family. Started with breakfast (for about 30 of us) in a park by the water at Sussex Inlet. Beautiful morning. Lots of fruit, bacon & egg rolls and other munchies. Continued at MrS’s sister’s place culminating in very late lunch/early dinner of salads, prawns, turkey pork, pavlova and trifle. Full as a goog when we got home about 6:30pm.

Watched last night’s Very Specky Christmas and soon off to bed. Off to Canberra for the day tomorrow….taking #1 son home (MrS coming with me this time). Then on Monday……Yeehah’s coming to visit….YaY!!

Happy Birfdy to Mr M !

We’re in for a taste of that hot weather by weeks end apparently, after the longest emergence from spring I think ever, and it still feels like spring, not summer at all. Top of 19C today and I doubt it’s even going to reach that.

Oh you got perfect weather by the sounds.

I’ve had to come up with lots of shade covers for the vegies…the cuc’s and zuc’s soon start to wilt by lunch time. Cherry toms are lovin it tho. Will fill the dehydrator up later with some.

Arvo all….home from now from our day trip to Canberra…should try to get motivated to either clean the house after having the family or weeding the garden….but I think I’ll probably veg out for a bit. Left here this morning at 7:00am and made it to Canberra in time for #1 son to get to work 15 mins early. Went back to his place for a bit, watered his garden, had a cuppa and then went back into to the city for lunch and a bit of shopping. Got back here at 3:30pm.

Hope you are all having a great day. The clouds are rolling in now, so gardening might be out of the question anyway.

40 today :(

On the upside, because I was away from home for two very hot days over Christmas, I was very careful to give the important plants a good watering before I left. And then this morning the dog woke me up at 6am, so I was able to go out and water again this morning. Everything’s actually looking happier than it usually does after a week of low 30s! Which is what we have next week.

I’ve just remembered though that Mr Bon and I need to put up a shadesail before the heat sets in, so I need to halt my climb up the LHC..

5 REASONS WHY WE KNOW SANTA IS A MAN

1. Obsessed with stockings.
2. Never stops to ask for directions.
3. Too lazy to shave.
4. Always wears the same clothes.
5. Only willing to do a job where people leave food and booze out … and doesn’t wash the plate up afterwards!!!
