You couldn’t order a better day for cricket.

8/266 at stumps was not a bad effort. Lost a few quick wickets late in the session with the new ball.
Hopefully Aus can knock off the remaining two wickets early on and get to bat in daylight. Would be nice to see Aus play a long patient innings for a change, and try to build up a sizable lead.

So much for that. Windies have gone a whole hour without losing a wicket. Closing in on 300, currently 8/296
well, Aus gets a run-out. 9 fer 297
All out 311
pretty good effort that. Aus need to get better than this at bowling to the tail.
Aus 4/24.

Not going wel, is it.
Remember what I said about playing a long patient innings and building a big lead. Well, they’ve not read my posts and decided to go the full stupid instead. 65 from 49 or 21 from 20 is not going to win a test match. Big hundreds are what is needed.
Guy with mashed big toe is brought on.. but probly a lost cause
Smith and Green doing ok.

Bit of a bummer. Was doing other stuff but managed to watch the last 5 minutes.
Looks like we have underestimated the WI and gone early on the death of test cricket.
Congrats to the WI, they have found a bunch of blokes who have the ability and the passion to play at this level.
Two weeks a ago it seemed unbelievable that the WI could win even one test match, today it was very believable.

I watched the last few minutes while I was in hospital this arvo, and despite us losing, I liked that it was a close/exciting game.

It was abiut time they made a comeback. Cricket was always exciting when the windies played until the team ran out of good players.

I really don’t mind losing if the game is exciting. In fact I know other Aussie cricket tragics that have been begging for a team to beat Australia.
The Australian team is infected with wokeness, it’s and insidious disease that slowly erodes your will to crush your sporting enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women.
They are working on a vaccine with is currently in trials however having passages of the Bible read to them is showing promise in alleviating the symptoms somewhat.
