Still, he’s staying in for longer innings and allowed space for Green to develop.. into some sort of monster potentially :)

I have not managed to watch any of it until now. I guess it is, because Aus won the toss and put NZ in.

Tea: New Zealand 1-43, (Latham 13, Williamson 25) trail by 51
18th over, Nathan Lyon will begin.
Didn’t think it would take long for us to get a look at Nathan Lyon, and in fact we haven’t had to wait a ball. Didn’t get many overs in the first innings, but could be busy today and tomorrow.
Latham on strike.
Doesn’t appear to be a whole lot of help in the pitch for Lyon. He’s going to have dig into his bag of tricks to trouble these two established batters.
FOUR! Latham advances and times his leg glance really nicely. Plenty of space at midwicket, and Latham cashes in.
So Australia’s lead is gone and only one wicket has been taken. The tourists, it is fair to say, is in a spot of bother for the first time in this Test. The Black Caps are setting a target now, and have almost their whole batting order left to do it.

would not say spot of bother, merely just back to evens.

The great work that Hazlewood is doing with this new ball has not been backed up at the other end from Starc – Hazlewood is so metronomic. So accurate.
I’m surprised Starc has been kept on to be honest.
Three, clipped off the pads from Blundell, who would have been thrilled to be given such a tasty morsel to feast on so soon after coming out into the middle.
Ravindra defends solidly.

Greetings all. That first ball from Pat Cummins’s last over was nothing short of exquisite. Could be a significant moment if the Aussies can get a roll on before tea.
Phillips is looking to leave when he can, having been beaten repeatedly by Hazlewood in the previous over.
That’ll be a maiden from Cummins, he’s bang on the money.

BLUNDELL IS OUT! He’s spooned a shocking ball to cover!

Phillips cops one right in the plums. Must have good protection down there, because he has taken it well.
I just went back to watch the replay, and Phillips was very clear in telling us exactly which appendage the ball hit.
Tea on day 3, NZ have already of 251 with 4 wickets in the shed.

Australia can’t win the match tonight – but they can definitely lose it.
And doesn’t the crowd know it, clapping in unison as Henry steams in towards Marnus.
A leading edge, straight back to Ben Sears, who does so well to get his lanky body down into position to take the catch.
Australia in a spot of bother at 2-22!

Hello, and welcome to day four of this fantastic second Test between Australia and New Zealand at Hagley Oval.
As the above image suggests, there has been a bit of dodgy weather around this morning in Christchurch. But never fear, this annoying morning rain should clear out fairly soon according to the forecast and play should hopefully be only slightly delayed.
There’s still two days left in this Test, so praying for rain is not going to get Australia very far. If anything, this weather might just juice up the pitch a bit and make life even tougher for the Aussies. Hopefully we will get answers to all of these questions and more very soon.
