Hey pepe, this was a shot I took in Buka with the fisheye… the wheel is one of those huge wheels from a Mining Truck and I got really really really close to it in order to distort the whole image. At the end of the day though, it is a shot that kinda works.

here’s another which does show off the fish-eye bit…

you need to really keep an eye on the horizon with such a lens.

and another fish-eye, but this time I cropped the top and bottom of the photo and then removed the bendy distortion. The girls on either end are a bit out of focus….

I’ll see if I can find the original.

Got this one from the Goroka Show. Using a fish eye with the kids was fantastic, they loved looking at their image in the camera screen but screamed even more when they saw the distorted look the fisheye can deliver. But you have to get really really close in order to get a good shot!

the fisheye probably is best with these unreal or horror images – because the view is distorted anyhoo.

i like the original – kinda humorous as well.
have you got a wide angle? i can look it up – but i’m having difficulty seeing why the fisheye is better than the wide angle.

I have a 14-22mm lens which was the original with my last camera and I can kinda get some cool wide-angle action with it…. but it ain’t a super lens. The fisheye ain’t a great wide-angle lens because of the distortion, but I have had some fun with it. I guess I would like a dedicated wide-angle one day…

Interesting. So this is a Add on Lens. The one that you said sometimes your arm or feet pop up in the photos 180 Degrees or something like that?
