Subject: Plastic Axe?

Is there any plastic or polymer or composite material strong enough to make a usable axe?

As in, to chop down a tree with it.

The only real non-mineral material I can see working is ceramic.

Yeah, why not.

Basically any human-made material that is non-metallic.
I understand that flint and obsidian have been used for thousands of years, but they are naturally occurring.

Youtube channel Shadiversity is currently in the process of prototyping a carbon fibre sword.

We just made a huge REAL, CARBON FIBER SWORD and it’s INSANE!!

Something like polycarbonate reinforced with carbon fibre might do the job.
